I want to edit a helmet from the original pack. I've used pssg editor to open it then save it to dds file. but i cant open with photoshop cs5. anyone knows how to open with CS5? sorry for my bad english
 
I've installed so many mods but one of them is lagging me when ever i drive pass a certain spot on the tracks or when ever a certain car is lined up infront of me. It doesn't matter where those cars are but i would lag when ever it is infront of me or behind a building in front of me.

How do i find out which mod is lagging me without having to reinstall the whole game?
 
Question may have been asked hundreds of times, but i am looking to change a few drivers round in my game aswell as pictures, how can i do this, i also wanted to rename some of the drivers with myself and a few mates names and again include pictures, is there a way in doing this and if so how?

Have you installed the HD trackpack or a lot of HD or DHD cars?
Everytime when I install the HD trackpack I get the same lagging at certain points of the track.

2 options:
1. Don't use HD tracks or DHD cars.
2. lower your graphic settings.

I've gone for option 2, I've lowered my graphic settings and the lag has dissapeard
 
Yes i did install the HD tracks how do i uninstall it?

Have you made a backup of the original files?
If yes, check wich files you have copied from the hd trck pack and copy the originals back to your f1 2012 folder.

If no, verify your files through steam and copy back all of your mods and make sure you make a backup before installing any mod or use ryders mod manager

I am interested in modify my database with the objective of change which teams (and the order of them) offers a contract in the first season of the carrer (for example, i considerer more realistic if i had an offer of Sauber instead of Force India).

I need that, too.
Cause i removed HRT for the 07 mod, it disappers, but in the menu where you choose your career team its still there, but with: BAD ID! A strange picture and a messud up game.
 
Anyone know why i cannot change the bloody Force India Driver Costume??
I have replaced my Force India with Brawn GP and i start my career with Brawn but in my first race for the team i realized that the driver suit is still Force india althought i changer the livery00 and 01:cautious::thumbsdown:. Any idea how i can change this? its a same because Brawn is such a great skin!!
 
I just recently got in to modding for personal use, and was running a few tests.

I've tried making some backmarkers advance to the midfield by editing database.bin. It's sort of worked. The AI qualify and race under midfield pace, but whenever I drive the car, it's on backmarker pace. For example, I'm significantly faster in a Williams than an HRT, despite the fact that for the AI, it's the other way around.

Is there something I'm missing? Are there any parameters in database.bin (or elsewhere) that control the pace of a team's car for the player and doesn't affect AI pace?

How I made HRT midfield: Increased basically everything in ai_driver table, adjusted fake_qualifying_ability and car_number in f1drivers, adjusted default_grid_position in f1drivers_f1teams, and in f1teams: changed engine_manufacturer, engine_power, garage_id, front_tyre_wear, garage_id (not sure why), rear_tyre_wear, stat_previous_year_standing, tier and virtual_performance
