Welcome to the RD Racing Club.

The succes of a Mazda only race a couple of weeks ago, is the reason for another monoclass with this car. That gives us the opportunity to visit a new track that isn't suited for multiclass. Ahvenisto in Finland is a very challenging circuit with a lot of height differences but also very fun to drive, especially with the MX5.

Also this event will be a test for the optimal pressure/temperature of the tyres of the MX5 based on the figures that have been provided by Rasmus Pasche.

Especially the new and inexperienced drivers are recommended to participate. There are a lot of learning opportunities but without the intensity and stress of the GT3/4 cars or the endurance multiclass cars. It's also good step up for those kind of events.

Event details:

• Cars: Mazda MX5 Cup
• Track: Ahvenisto, Finland
• Pit stop: optional
• Tyre blankets: Yes
• Track Temps: 26C air/52C track
• Track Condition: Clear
• Track grip: 96% increasing to 100% after about 20 minutes.
• Track limits: No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a lift of the gas please. You will be penalized if you break this rule.
• Damage: 10%

You're right about the track and the cambers! T11 is the worst with an off camber area!

I may or may not have attempted to race 1990's F1 cars on this Highly recommended!

I even may or may not have tried to race Mazdas here in Ahvenisto in my early days at R.D.

(definitely did not succeed as midrace all cars jumped the gravity field and took of for Lagrange.
Really glad I don´t do VR: It´s rumored to have been a server hickup)

Oh I quite like this track. I've raced here my fist simracing.gp race with the mini's. And then later with the celica. I most surely think it will be fun with the mazdas. I'll most likely join but I'll wait a couple of days so I'm sure.

edit: why wait, I'm in!

Still struggeling with this track, especially with the "intestinal" windings at the End.

And if this wasn't bad enough the alcohol absorbing Fins got the camber wrong in absolutely every corner

I may or may not have attempted to race 1990's F1 cars on this Highly recommended!

I mean. They did use the track for the European RX Championship through the 80's and well into the 90's. So that means F1 tech Escorts, Bi-Turbo 4x4 Porsches with 800hp. Gr.B RX monsters, and later the "Rallycross Specials".

In fact, if the track is the same as the rF2 one, you can see the remains of the RX layout in the grass on the left of the start-finish straight and after T1
