iRacing - proper clutch simulation?

As I will most likely get a iRacing subsribtion as birthday present i wondered if iRacing was simulating gear box systems properly.
I mean if I drive a h pattern car and dont use auto clutch, will i have to push the clutch properly and slowly release it again for each shift or is it as unrealistic as for example in all the Simbin titles where each car has the same 'shifting physics'?
 
The clutch/gearbox modelling is actually worse than SimBins, but it's one of the most requested "Improvements" that are wanted, the issue is simply that they won't release the feature without it being as perfect as they can make it, unfortunatly that means that were still with a modelling that means flat upshifts, no need for a clutch, using the paddle shifters in a H-Pattern car and you currently cannot stall any car.
