Yes this is one of the disappointing things about iRacing; especially if you are used to a SIM like GTR2 where you can see the driver at work in every view.

However, iRacing is really a driving SIM, and I guess the thought is that watching the driver twiddling the wheel is not as import as other aspects.

Maybe one day.

GTR2 isn't exactly great - same with any of the simbin games, the wheel only turns about 200 degrees and considering I use 900 rotation on my G25 it doesn't make sense :p

A couple screens I took from a Skippy race at Summit Point. I ended up on pole with a 23.6, but when I got on the grid I noticed my latency was very high(thanks to the display in the upper right). I escaped off the grid before the start and ran to my laptop(where I had a torrent seeding) and stopped it to restore my connection, Got back to my rig and clicked grid but I was too late and started from the pits. I was disappointed that I had ruined a good opportunity to get my first win, but before I knew it I was back in 1st place again and held it until the end of the race. One of the craziest and most intense(as well as lucky) races I've had at iRacing, and lots of fun as well.

signed up 2day for another month. First proper race i did, and the abuse i got... horrible.

I take it this is your account?

If so I'm not at all surprised that people weren't exactly happy, 42 incidents in a race is way too high, even for someone new to the sim. Lists a lot of the incidents as car contact too which is a quick way to get people annoyed. Your SR has taken a considerable hit from those incidents too - keep losing it like that and there is a chance you'll end up without an account. I'd also watch out on car contact as quite often a thread will spring up on the iRacing forum about it. What you really need to do is practice offline or in the online practice sessions until you can run a race distance with much fewer incidents. Also you need to get used to running in traffic to again reduce the possibility of incidents.

If that isn't your account, ignore what's written above.

I'll definitely be at the Skippy race of the week at Sebring today at 20:15GMT. Had a ton of fun at Sebring yesterday, some good racing. I've only got an iRating of ~1200 so I don't know if I'll make the splits with any of you guys but hope to see you there.
