That code gets you 3 months for $25 from what i've read. It will just come with the base cars and tracks that iRacing comes with meaning you will need to buy the other stuff if you decide to carry on or if you get promoted.

I still think the Radical offer is the best, free for a month and has a $15 car and $25 track included with it.

lol, yer, shows my short term memory loss (forgot about the relatively small charge) :laugh2:

there are races every hour or 2 (maybe even 1/2 hour for more popular ones i'm yet to discover) depending on the series (what car), a single track is scheduled for a whole week (but u can test "offline" on any track u've purchased). u register for sessions (practice, qualy, race, time trial) so u can see how many people u may be up against (fields get split if large numbers register)

i've only been there for a couple of weeks now but the racing is relatively clean and usually a wide range of talent so good battles are usually served all the way through the field ;)

at this stage i'm seriously considering renewing my subscription :D

It definitely depends on what you're looking for as to whether it's worth the money or not. Definitely a bit pricey, but the content that comes with a subscription is enough to satisfy for a while. The one thing that keeps me coming back to it is the ability to have good quality races whenever I'm in the mood. I'm racing the Spec racer ford and the Skip Barber right now, each of which offers races every 2 hours but they alternate so if I were so inclined I could expect to have a good race nearly every hour of the day. I think that is what will keep me coming back to the game for a while.

I got a free month offer that came with the radical and silverstone, but I haven't been able to use either in an actual race yet. Besides that the only content I've purchased so far is the Skip Barber car, and I can compete in at least half of the events over the season with just the stock content, and would need to purchase a couple tracks if I wanted to do the whole season.

Sorry if that was a bit off topic. I'm looking forward to the Jetta TDI, it will be interesting to see how FWD handles in iRacing. The C6R and Lotus will be awesome as well, but it will be a while before I'll have my license up to compete in those.

Unpredicted but now announced!

Michigan International Speedway

That's been avail a few days now.

People considering iRacing, try it! Just try it for one month - to me and my G25 this is the best sim for feel I've yet encountered.
It is prohibitively expensive I agree - but it's in small chunks so it don't hurt too much. The UI lets it down but it's all forgotten behind the wheel, sublime handling...
The little Ford's are a handful but extremely satisfying once you've got the hang of the unforgiving little beasts...

I wish they would split Oval and Road completely though and reduce the cost for one or the other. I think that would be its biggest improvement. Oval racing is as boring as it is to watch...

Apologies for posting in the wrong thread!

It is obvious that iRacing gets all sanctioned NASCAR tracks in, because they will be hosting the official NASCAR Online Series in 2010 and beyond which sounds pretty cool :)
