G25 problem with iRacing

I just got my copy today and i've got a small but very irritating problem. When standing still and on the straights my g25 wheel is shaking alot. I've had the same problem in rfactor but I could resolve it by taking the force feedback strength down to 50. I've lowerd it to zero in iRacing but it's still shaking. Please help me!

thanks

Well I did my first laps on Laguna and Lime, linking Laguna more than Lime. First impression: looks good, feels nice, but it's nothing special as for the physical, graphical and audical perspective. The neat thingy is of course the online competative racing with/against other random people that have a code of conduct to keep to. Nicely done.

I ahve only done Practise sessions so far, but I like it from what I've seen. I'll judge when I've done races. I can see why people could get addicted; I cannot see why I would pay $20 every month, especially not since it's not the only game I'm going to play.

Ive not had the problem myself so the only thing i can suggest is check all your setting and recallibrate. The settings i use are.

In game controllers
900 degrees of rotation
101% force feedback strength
everything else 0 with centering spring enabled

In sim calibrate your wheel exactly the way it tells you ie: full lock to lock then 90 degrees to the left or right cant quite remember. It should report 900 degrees at top of calibration page.

I use 9 force feedback in the sim.

If none of this helps check the iracing forums there are a load of threads on configuriing a g25

I'd join you for a practice session but I'm sleepy & there's lighning & thunder going on and I like watching it ;)

LOL big kid!! ........ well, lucky bugger actually, that fascination does'nt deminish the older you get either :thumb:.
If you keep awake maybe, and your internet doesnt get blown to smithereenos by a big bolt of lightning,it would be great to have a iVeteran like you to show me the ropes,if no,see you soon anyway.

Thanks Again

Can anyone help me with my quandry, what FOV do you guys run? Please don't say default! :D

I have a 17" monitor at 1280x1024 and oddly everything seems rather cramped. I had a look through the settings but can't see anything other than FOV so I'm assuming I've missed something, somewhere?

Infineon Setup

This is the setup im using its Greger's setup with tyre pressure changes.

24 front and 25 rear not sure that it makes much difference having front lower than rear so 25 all round might work to.

I use 60 FOV at 1820x1200 on a 24" monitor. And at the moment FOV is the only view adjustment there is. Think its so everyone is on a level playing field and cannot change the view to thier advantage.
Check the iRacing forums you might get more help there as more people will have the same config as yourself.

I think I need to upgrade my monitor to something larger!

Thanks for the heads up, didn't even realise they had a forum. :D
