Wedge

Hi everyone. Just signed up after posting at RSC and discovering this site. I am hoping to start getting into some quality online racing and hoping that this is the place to go for RACE.

I am currently living in Far North Queensland, Australia.

Am not super fast but I enjoy clean, smooth and close racing. Hope to see you on the tarmac!

Welcome Wedge, always nice to see new faces around! :)
Hope you will enjoy your stay here at our forum, i am sure we will have quite some good races together, although the time difference can be a bit of an issue, but with Warren from Australia too and some others soon you can start up an Aussie competition already! :)

Cheers: Neo

Thank all.

@Neo[RPM]: I joined after reading about the opportunity to join some fellow Aussies here on RSCnet. I also asked you, 'what kind of references etc are needed? How do I get involved with RPM? All I've done so far is a number of laps in netkar pro, LFS and that's it. Would love to be involved, especially the Aus side of things...'.

Was your post there referring to joining your race team, or using your servers? Thanks again for the welcome!

Hello Wedge,

Very nice to see another Aussie dropping by here. Feel very welcome.

Our public servers in RACE, GTR2 and rFactor are free to join for everybody. The passworded servers are only accesable for Racing Club members (see the Racing Club section, how to sign up)

In games you will sometimes meet people wearing the [RPM] tag, that are members of the RPM Racing Team. A membership to that team is only possible when you are invited in the team.

But again feel very welcome !!

Hi Wedge,
Terrific to see another Aussie here at RPM, I have been a bit lonely trying to carry the Australian flag in races against these super quick Europeans. We have recently had a couple more Aussie's join, so we may now be able to do some on line practicing during some reasonable Aussie hours. We also have a couple from SE Asia, who are in a similar time zone.

Pop down to the Racing Club forum (as Bram suggested). If you want to meet up on the public server so that we can race and I can give you the needed references (I'm confident you will be OK though).

By the way, I'm also from QLD (Hervey Bay).

See you on the track soon.:)

Sounds great. Can't promise to be quick but will always do my best to be clean and courteous... The speed bit will come later! As it happens, I am seeing my wife and son off on Tuesday for a week and a half, so there will be loads of practice time coming up. I'll be meeting them in Brisbane as I am taking two weeks leave to have a holiday and ride in either Rick or Todd Kelly's Supercar for a hotlap at Qld Raceway!! I have done the track a number of times in a Porsche (911T 1972'ish) but I am sure this will be something very special! Will try to get online a bit for the next couple of weeks though! Thanks!
