This setting does nothing because it is only in effect if gearboxHShiftedRevMatchTolerance is not 0.0. I do not see neither CCGEP Gearbox features nor Decoupling enabled so I don't know what is going on.

What language/region is your Windows running? I wonder if 0.0 is not 0 on your computer (because it should be "0,0" depending on locale). That would be very lame bug on my behalf :D
I didn't think of that. My region is USA and the windows version windows Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045
The cars I am driving are the HQ cars that the game originally has but have been enhanced by the HQ cars pack.

thanks for letting me know - since it is USA it is 100% not that. I am out of ideas as features that could affect shifting seem to be off on your side, unless you have enabled them via .cchdc files. FWIW your plugin is very old - current version is 3.2.0.0: https://www.overtake.gg/threads/mod...hancements-plugin.250134/page-10#post-3768257

But, I don't think I fixed anything around shifting so really - no ideas.

If it's still happening with CC disabled then are you sure you didn't enable auto-shifting by mistake?
It never appeared that I did as the car will not shift unless I shift it. The only thing I've found to make it work is to wait just a second for the engine to auto blip between the down shifts and it happens a lot less. I'm assuming I'm just a terrible driver lol
 
If you don't have any tranny mod running then shift up and down should always work. Double check you have auto-shifting completely disabled with the "F" buttons (can't remember which one).
 
How do I use GTR 2 map plugin by Fazerfox.
I picked NoCD and I picked GTR 2 map plugin by Fazerfox options.
Now,
how do I use in game when driving?
Do I need to edit vanilla Mapconf.txt in some way?
Do I need to press a key to enable in game?

I wanted a map on screen similar to race07 track map. Is this possible and have I picked the correct option to do this.
I have attached a race07 screenshot ,this is what I would like in GTR2.

Did you edit your player file.

Write Shared Memory="1"

Seems to work ,
how do I move the map to the left and down?
Since when I use my num pad keys ,this changes the camera orientation -like tilt nup down and left right.
Do i need to rebind to move map in the .ini for the map plugin?

In race event I seem to get the race line on bottom left hand side AND
I dont seem to have my map in centre of screen.
Any suggestions for me about this?

I have moved and made smaller the map..(pretty happy with that)
I deleted Mapconf.txt.BAK ,not sure what that did.
AND I edited Mapconf.txt

Still not sure how to get full map and not a line in a race though.
I worked out that a line needed a change.
//ModeMap = [ OFF | FIX | MOBILE | ROTATION | LINEAR ]
ModeMap =FIX
This seems good now , I think,
Quite an odyssey.

I was feeling adventurous and installed Power and Glory 3 ,
and missed my new map straight away.
So I copied the plugins folder from GTR 2AN and placed it in PG3 ,made the plr edit ;and also dropped in d3d9.dll and d3d9_gtr2mapplugin.log.txt as well from GTR 2AN into my PG3 folder.
It seems to work in that game too.

Hey guys, I'm having an issue trying to install this mod. I downloaded all 3 parts into the same file folder. I've successfully extracted part 1 into my GTR2 folder, but when proceeding to part 2 and attempting to extract it, I'm getting the message "Cannot open file as archive". I have the latest version of 7-zip installed. Am I doing something wrong?

Or have I done it correctly, and there's no separate steps of manually extracting parts 2 and 3?

Edit: Sorry, I just realized the answer is a few pages back. I believe I've done it correctly.

I have tested reshade in GTL and Race07 and found it was pretty cool.
I just used smaa for starters and also tried a few other shaders too.

My query ,Reshade uses a file called d3d9.dll AND
XD/Map ALSO uses the same file name ,but it is obviously different since it does something different.
HOW can I rename the d3d9.dll for XD/Map so i can use both of these 2 programs at same time?
I experimented with a file called dinput8.dll ,which allows putting dlls into a folder called scripts (whilst renaming them to .asi rather than .dll and they still work). PROBLEM is if I do this with reshade it runs at half speed ,so I get 30fps rather than 70fps -so that is no good. AND if I try with XD/Map it does not show map. Long story short -this experiment did not solve my issue.

Can i do this some other way? As in i really want to rename the d3d9.dll from XD/Map.
 
I don't use XD any longer as I'm now using Crew Chief and Simhub, but I guess that the solution used for the ENBSeries at the time should be used for Reshade.

3 D3D9 dll with 3 different names and modiying the .ini files as shown on screenshot hereunder:
NB: the second ini at the bottom is the Enbseries ones ( yours should be done for reshade ini I guess.

For GTR2MapPlugin.ini my vanilla just using the map is
[GENERAL]
OriginalD3D9Dll=DEFAULT
#OriginalD3D9Dll=DEFAULT,d3d9.dll

If I wish to change the name of d3d9.dll and replace this with say d3d9_hdr.dll the map does not show.

For Reshade , I dont think I can change the name of d3d9.dll at all ,since its .ini does not reference d3d9.dll . Perhaps i could add the [PROXY] bit you have in ENB ,not sure.

It is not the end of the world if I cannot get Reshade to work btw. I have enabled some stuff in nvidia control panel and also used a variety of msaa using the .asi script trick I described -which i am pretty sure works -bit hard to tell since it just cleans up the image.

My main query ,is what have you renamed the default map d3d9.dll to?(since i only am using the map AND not map with xd)
