I voted yes as my system could at least handle most of the tracks in GTR2, but struggles to cope with anything in Evo.

One off club events would be nice and would give me a reason to install the old girl again .

Incompatible game versions

Hi, I'm getting the error message "Incompatible game versions". I remember there was a setting you use in the config.ini file to ignore this check but I can't find it now. I've done a google search for the last hour but can't find it again.

PS, we are all using the same version just that I have a legit copy and othere's might not. We could all get a copy each but I cannot control what other's do. (If anyone works out a way to control humans that might be helpful too ))

Yep, we've all got v1.1 with the patch installed. I remember there was a setting so the server didn't check the versions but I can't find it by googling now and can't see it in my config.ini file for some reason.

I would definitely join a GTR2 league. I am quite new to Evo and still getting into it. its better in many ways (physics, new circuits etc) but I miss the older Ferrari's and porsche's and tracks like Spa.

Offtopic comment: the porsches and ferrari's are available in Evo too as add-on. Same for tracks like Spa etc... See our download section

the Nightmod & Lambo is the only reason to play GTR2 ?
i prefer Evo cause it feels better in my opinion.

I found it. Go into your userdata directory (under gtr2 dir), then go to into a directory which will be your player name. Grab the file yourname.plr and open it up in notepad. Change this setting below as desired. Obviously do this while the game is not running.

Report Mismatches="2" // server to act on mismatches by: 0=No checking, 1=Warning messages, 2=Auto-Boot mismatches

The setup times are based around 1-38s......

I think that in this game you have much much better suspensions as they have in program. I mean that look at the pictures from that link... Must try anyway and that track is what i like.
