GTR 2

Had a great time tonight!
Jacco in front of me had a bad start I think so I had to slam on the brakes to avoid him... after that I expected to be last in the GT class. So I decided to push in the first lap to keep a grip on the GT's, overtook some people... halfway the 1st lap I checked what position I was in and to my surprise I was in 2nd position :pound: I was actually doing pretty good in the first laps, getting into a nice rythm... but after a few laps I made a slight mistake which dropped me back into 3rd, after Marc Good IIRC and just in front of Olivier Hercek. Had a great battle with Olivier, had to push my hardest to keep him behind but in the end he managed to overtake me anyhow. :thumb:
I think a while after that Olivier and Marc ran into each other which brought me back in 2nd position. My radio told me I had to make a pitstop the next lap... but after that lap I was allready running on fumes when I entered the pitlane and I ran out of fuel 50 meters away from my pitcrew... :hurt:
Was a shame as I was having a great time! Thanks to all that joined! :thumb:

I am so glad to hear that this is something that can happen not just to me. I'll just have to what sit there? And how many times do you press the button or do you not have too? I have done pits before and after I hit enter they just do it?

I would like to get in another few races so please let me know the way this works????
Thanks Guys...

I just would add I was having so much fun tho the rythm thing is the best. And working out when to take another car without too much pressure due to dwindleing laps it's just greeat...
Am racing in the rFactor PCC next so then it'll be back to GTR2 :D

The pit stop system is best checked out before the race I found. I have a button mapped to the ignition and to the starter.

Drive into the pits, stop in your box, press the ignition key to turn off the engine, refueling starts, soon as the car goes up on the jacks and refueling is finished press the ignition key again and then press the starter key to start the engine, pit stop finished drive out of the pit box and make sure your limiter is on!

I had a good race and fights with Patrick, but twice went wide exiting corners so I had to catch up again. Then he pitted which I didnt need to do since I was not stopping. This got me up the positions a fair bit and as high as 6th :)

However the last 10 mins of the race was very difficult and my rear tires were shot, I lost the rear dropping me to 7th and then a short while later did it again and dropped to 8th :( which is where I finished in the end ahead of the other Lotus Elises.

This was a great race for me as well.. had some fun moments in there.

First off at the start I was not sure if the race was really started as Jacco was still standing still when I put on the throttle - so I released it and many NGT cars passed me.. so first I had to catch up to the guys up front which went pretty well within the first few laps. Then Olivier was right behind me and in one corner he actually managed to dive in and I did not see him when turning in so he spun off track. I waited there to let him pass again and saw Theo also pass me..

Later in the race Theo had a problem and I had Olivier on my back again for some time and he was definitely faster than me but I took the 'battle line' so I did not let him pass and he then unfortunately had an engine problem so that removed quite some pressure from me.. I felt pretty sorry for Olivier though as he was on a good pace.

Further on I managed to get right behind Jacco and thought I would be able to pass him on track - but the pitstop from him one round before I stopped allowed me to pass him without any further battle.. at least that's what I thought :pound:
He was actually faster after the pits than me and I was just able to not let him pass - and then on the last few laps he made some mistakes so I managed to finish 2nd in the Viper (understeery bastard ). Nice battle there, mate.

Congratz to the Winner though which lapped all of us, good race!

PS: Sorry to the Porsche driver I touched a bit in the second corner.. I was off track with two wheels and my car suddenly turned left so we touched a little..
