GTR 2

Congrats to the podium!:alla:

When I for once did not have any expectations on the race I actually got my best result overall. I was not especially comfortable though racing in the dark with such lousy headlights..way to crappy for any traffic situation in darkness. And most annoying was the automatic flashing at cars ahead without me wanting so. Am I imagining things or the flashing lights is a fact? Well well..

Like Gary I got slightly bored after a while but suddenly things got more action-like when we backmarkers started to swap places back and forth. I managed to finish 12th. And nice to see you on track again, Nig!

Thankyou RD for providing this Cup with included hot stuff memorable :)

Grats Cristopher, Awesome race you did, Very fast and consistent it was.
grats also to Yoeri and Ramon for the podiums

More gratulations to Roy Carless for winning this Championship, Great work done m8, You ruled the Vertigo:banana138:
And Fo got all podiums in team champ, I am proud over this great result:banana 138:
Had a pretty good race with only one big mistake, a spun when trying to keep up with Yoeris pace,

I wanna thank all good racers I have meet during this league, It has been a joy to race ya:)
Big Thanks also to admin who make this possible,
You have made a awesome good job here.

Cheers :shades:

Yip Grats Cristopher, excellent race fella...you ruled Valencia!!

Also congrats to Roy Careless for taking the championship!!

My race was tbh, aweful. Qualied ok, nothing special, but my setup in race did not like having medium front tyres and was off the pace. Wish now, I had pitted instead of doing the whole race as it was just not enjoyable to drive, plus the couple of mistakes was not good.

But a big thankyou to Race Department for hosting the league, and letting us FO Boys race!!

Yeah :)

I finished 3rd and I only participated in 4 races lol :)
Watkins was a big PC lockup before the start; Hockenheim was my vacation.
Team AR 4th overall :) Not bad at all. Congrats Nigel!

Congrats Roy and Christopher for the 1st/2nd place.

nice driving from you Roy, i think the car suits you well.

Qualifying went ok for me as i hit a PB twice and both when i stuck on more wing so i did the same for the race and went with the wing at max.
I had a pretty uneventful race, i was happy with my pace for the first third of the race but that last corner started to work on me as it hurt like hell and 2 or 3 times the wheel slipped mid corner and i dropped a wheel into the sand on the right.

The track i love apart from that last corner it just ruins it for me

but some of the other corners are just great but it is a very hard track to pass on as the line is very important so as soon as you start having to defend then you start loosing lots of time.

I will miss these races as they have been fun so thnx all for the races.
Looking forward to a wee rest now :character0053: before the new season of races start at Flatout, and if any of you guys want to join us then you know where to find us.:banana120:

Nice one Christopher great win.

Grats Roy for the championship, amazing drive throughout the championship. :party0018:
Nice drive from all Flatout guys, first 3 places in the Teamchampionship. WOW :banana122::banana122::banana122::banana122:

For me it didn't go so well, Got a electric Power cut few minutes after i joined the server. Seemed my powercable is cut through completly. They did a emergency repair and connected me to my neightbours line for the moment but by then the race was finished.
Off all nights this had to happen right at the last race. :sign0007:

Well better next time alltough i can't complain it was a great championship, thx for organising this great championship. Loved it.

RDGVC - Roy Carless wins Gillet Vertigo Cup 2008

In RaceDepartment’s first league of 2008 Englishman Roy Carless beats the competition with a consistent performance through the season and a clear win at Dubai. His team, Team FO SE, grabs the team championship with two season wins.

Roy Carless leading the field during the fifth race at Dubai National.

During all of the season it had been unclear who would walk away with the championship title. The six races all had different winners and after each race the championship standings had looked totally different than before the race. Success in this championship season thus became a matter of consistency.

After four races Carless had not yet seen the podium in a race, but had sat on it in the championship standings for a while. He had managed to stick to the top four while others had dropped in and out. The fifth round was his. At Dubai he grabbed the win and established a solid 14-points lead over the number two, Tom Ilsbroux and a 24-points lead over the number three, Ramon van Rijn. With just one race to go anything could still happen, though a solid performance like in any of the five previous races would almost certainly hand him the championship. And so it happened. Carless finished fifth in the final round at Valencia and claimed the championship. Christopher Aponte won the race a moved from fourth to second place in the standings, just before Van Rijn who maintained his third position with a another podium finish.

The team championship ended as a clean sweep for the Flat Out Club, who had their teams on the first three positions, with Carless’ and Luis Nieto’s SE team on the top spot. Both guys had won a race, but the majority of the points came from Carless. Nieto finished in only two races, but scored a podium in both. This was just enough to make a 14-points gap with the SS team.

Congratulations to Roy Carless and Team FO SE for their formidable performance in this league.

Whoohoo, second podium in a row! Quite an interesting race for me. This was the first time I tried without a pitstop and I liked it.

I tried to save my tires during the first 70 minutes, constantly being affraid I wasn't going to make it. But it went pretty well. Luckily for me my pace in safe-mode was still good enough to maintain second position and when I finally felt safe I started to push it! With no success... it actually brought Ramon dangerously close in the last 10 minutes.

Second in the end. Good stuff. 7th in the final standings, with 4/6 races run. Not bad.

Gratz to Christopher´. Very impressive, consitently beating the rest with 0.5s a lap. Gratz to Ramon as well. Very nice recovery.

Gratz to Roy and the Flat Out Club. Great job on winning the championship!

I hope to see you all in the next championship in a couple of months. Thanks for some great and competative races!

Got a PB in Quali but still only 12th so it was going to be a tough 1 as I needed to get a top 5 finish to stop Ramon getting the top stop as I knew he was going to be quick. After a few laps a few peeps were spinning so moved up the order. This is a difficult track to pass on and the backmarkers did a great job to move over as quick as they could even if they were in their own battle, many thanks guys.

Well thanks for all the thanks guys I enjoyed this very much.

Many thanks to Race department for all their hard work in running this series.

Looking forward to the next one.:clap2::humble:
