Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
Great race today. No aliens in sight, so even winning the race was within the realm of possibility. This happened because of Rob's accident. I would have been interested to see how the race would have developed without the accident. I changed the tires, who hasn't? And did that work without changing? The Corvette is a great car, I somehow remembered it worse.

I'm looking forward to the car selection in the next events. :)
I was prepared to change tires as well. Just an FYI, the grass is ridiculously slick 😂. My tires were so hot/slick after my spin that I spun another two times on my way to the pits. Race over for me. I thought I might be able to recover 3rd place, but I needed another lap to catch Ernie.

I was really excited to be putting some space between Hank and myself, but it wasn't meant to be. Douglas suggested doing all RSS cars and that seems like a good idea, despite my affection for the 992.

Actually, I don't mind keeping the URD ones, my suggestion was to add the rest of the RSS ones.

I really like these cars. Lots to get into and understand.

After a good start I was fighting with Ernie and Paul for a bit. The Porsche felt a lot quicker than Ernie’s Corvette at that stage but my overtake attempts ended in half spins for me and gradually dropped back.

I had planned to take the Porsche all the way in a single set of tyres but the mechanics and my fat fingers had other ideas so I had time to admire the detail of the pitlane while they put a fresh set of tyres on. I think it would have made it on a single set. All the Porsche’s had some kind of spin suggesting they are a bit less stable than the others.

The lambo did look a bit slow compared to the others. Doug is usually a bit faster than me in the same car but was consistently 1-2seconds slower in the Lamborghini here.
