AC GT3 @ Portimao - Sunday 22nd September 2024

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
New issue, the track is winterish grey at all times, almost as if the colour space isn't loading properly or some season mod is turned on, both in single as well as multiplayer, can't figure out what setting is causing this in CSP.

EDIT: Nevermind, reinstalled CSP for the third time and now it works... call me baffled.

I'll try that. Are you on version 0.2.4?

The google suggested this.

if you click the 3 dots by the time in content manager and click the little calendor you can change seasons and choose the month you want i have it set to summer it changes the layout of tracks to whatever season you have.

I had this. Internet advice said turn off seasonal effects in CSP under Track Adjustments. I found I had to turn the whole of Track Adjustments off to get rid of it. It seems to be peculiar to the Portimao track as I don't get it elsewhere.

I went back to v1.79 and that got rid of the frost!
I had to re-install the update to the Merc as well to avoid the checksum, strange as it was OK in Friday's practice.

I hope you got it fixed Brian!

I'm not mixing well with the 992, feels like there is no feedback and none of the tyre apps work so you also don't have any feedback on what is happening. Not really enjoying the buggy state it still is in after a year of no updates, I think I'll stick with RSS vehicles in the future.

Great race today. No aliens in sight, so even winning the race was within the realm of possibility. This happened because of Rob's accident. I would have been interested to see how the race would have developed without the accident. I changed the tires, who hasn't? And did that work without changing? The Corvette is a great car, I somehow remembered it worse.

I'm looking forward to the car selection in the next events. :)

No worries Brian, hope you get your car sorted soon.
All went well tonight, hopefully numbers will increase as Autumn and darker nights creep in but there was some good racing going on.

I got it home anyway. Whether its sorted or not I don't know. They were only 15 minutes away. It's a modern style of quick hose fitting that popped off. A quick fix but not sure if its a permanent one!

Thanks for the race, guys.

Got a big surprise when I discovered that I was in the Lambo, I was sure that I had signed up in the Porsche and had done all of my practice laps in that (apart from a few laps in each car to decide which one I was fastest in).

So I had about 20 minutes to get used to the car before qualifying. As expected, the Lambo was safer but about 2 seconds slower than my Porsche times.

I decided to go for a splash and dash, no tyre change, pitstop in the hopes that could be in touch with any spinning Porsches. Unfortunately I got on the kerbs a couple of times in the early laps and had some half spins myself.

Lonely race but I did finish and I managed to avoid being lapped.

@Interslice Might be worth looking at the BOP for the Lambo next races. What are your thoughts on using all of the RSS GT3s in the future? I got the full pack in the last sale...

The Lambo was fine without a tyre change, I set some of my best times on the final laps.

This is the game of GT3!

I'm up for it. Maybe week after next, after payday!

I'm thinking to just zero all the BoP then and try to balance the michigan against the rest if the pack.

Fuelled for 60 min, waited a life time for it to fill up, what is more annoying, I over fuelled just in case . :-/
Not enough people.:O_o:
The GTD has some foibles that need sorting, if I can sort that it will be a good drive.
Shame they updated the M4, did all my practice in that car, a dream of a car, then I found that it was updated, once updated, it became a sod of a car to drive.
:(
