AC GT3 @ Kyalami - Sunday 27th October 2024

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
It could be worth trying the CSP version. I am using the latest one, top of the list. 1.79 (recommended) has been causing trouble.

Try the other cars to be sure. URD could be ok.

There is also many CSP/CM options and settings to get you going. https://www.overtake.gg/threads/setting-up-ac-for-racing-online.260667/#post-3688461

If you are still having issues let me know. We can maybe install one or two cars without CSP physics if thats a problem for peoples cpu.

Hopefully evo is not as heavy to run as ACC was! I'm pretty sury they have ditched unreal engine.
Then you mate!
I'm on version 1.79 atm, as it said "recommended". Which version would you recommend? Just the latest one?

Not sure if I find the time to do further tests and investigations. So I'll sign up either way and see, what's happening.

I wish there was a way to participate without having to purchase all the cars. Too bad there couldnt be a cooperative effort to release a pack that could be used for RD races. EDIT: Sry OVERTAKE races.

Something like; You purchase the car you want but it comes with the models of the other cars for online. I know of a couple other Assetto 'groups' that use this strategy. Lol, I wont name names.

You guys do drive a bit of traffic to the URD and RSS sites. Maybe it could be something to consider talking about in the future. Just a suggestion, I cant see any downsides to it.

Ye I am just using the one at the top of the list. It has been working well for me the last few weeks. 1.79 has been crashing the game with certain car and track combos. It's pretty old. Both kunos and mod combos had issues like you describe.

Without disagreeing with you, all these cars are great and have there own feel, strengths and weaknesses that will suit different tracks.
We raced the kunos GT3 cars here for a long time and most drivers had around 3 main cars they liked and dabbled in a few others. Part of the fun of GT3. It's generally nice to have at least a MR and FR drivetrain car in the go.

We have any affiliation with URD or RSS unfortunately.

In a surprise turn of events, we're now going on holiday on Saturday, so I won't be racing you all unfortunately. Which is a shame as it looks fun. Have a great race guys.
Yesterday was a bit of a rubbish day with our flight being cancelled after a 5 hour wait and then getting home at 2am. The good news is I can race with you guys tonight. Every cloud etc...

Might change my car choice as the Porsche seemed hard work here.

Sorry to hear Dave.

Just getting around to doing some testing now. Aero and Mercer feels way off the pace. BMWs or one of the below look a safer bet but havnt treied them yet.

Take the plunge my dude. You won't regret it. The cars are great and the racing is even better. Plus, we spend thousands of dollars on sim racing rigs and gaming PCs 😭, so $20 on some great cars isn't too big of an ask.

Lexus, audi, old lambo and merc are on -100kg BoP now. Might not be competitive yet. WIP
Maybe I won't be able to make it in time, wanted to buy the remaining three cars but payment seems to have stalled somewhere so I suspect it will be delayed a bit. Hopefully in time to make it.

Hope you can get it sorted in time. The lexus is alot of fun but one of the slower cars around here. BMW M6 looks a safer bet for a front engine V8.

Congrats on another win Rob and well done to the podium,
I had some spins early on. I think the TC is still kunos style '1 is highest' on these URD cars. Caught me out along with a heavy foot :whistling:. Enjoyed lapping regardless. The corvette was great to throw around here. Thanks to all for racing
