A message to all Drivers

If you run off track, you must check to see that its clear before you re enter the track. Always try to re-enter the track parallel to the racing line. Stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car.

When joining the track from the pits, remain inside the white line and stay off the racing line until you are up to speed.

During qualification, do not race on your out lap, let other drivers by.

Golden Rule
  1. If you hit somebody, sending them off the track and carry on like nothing happened, you take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Instead, you should always wait for the affected drivers, and that way you can be 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a lift of the gas please.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in Discord. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

Hello again! Big thanks to Han for keeping the Sunday ship afloat while I was on holidays.

Partly to get my sim racing eye in again, I traveled deep down a Bathurst rabbit hole today to try and find something new and interesting to race here (We raced bathurst very recently with the GT3 cars) After some hardship, with many different cars, I tested the p 4-5 and found it worked very nice out of the box. It has that soft suspension, similar to the sc003.
Took a browse afterwards and found it is pretty close in laptimes to the 911 cup, so maybe both of these cars can make for some good racing together. Both are pretty easy to drive for what they are, especially with the TC enabled on the 911.

The 911 is a couple of tenths slower on hotlap paper. My own laptimes are coming in very similar here for both cars in race conditions. Of course, it remains to be seen how they will square off over a 1 hour race and qualy. Hopefully no more than a gentleman's agreement over tyre compounds will balance these 2 cars pretty well.

I'll fire up the practice server tomorrow. Let me know what you guys think about the 2 cars

p.s. do your ears a favour and install the sound mod above for the P 4/5.

Absolutely!! :) There are some setups for this porker back in the club racing archives
The Porsche seems good with the standard setup, unfortunaly unlike its sister GT3 Porsche, there are nowhere near the same setup options. So you have nowhere to go.
If you are really stuck Casper I will give you a setup that I did at
Bathurst.
It seems you are stuck with annoying understeer or terminal oversteer
I am pretty much the same pace with both cars, it is just that the P4 is sweeter to drive, not so much seat of the pants, expecting Brian to be quick here in the 911

The GT4 type hard tyres on the Cup seem to suit the car better. That and you're not under all that pressure to keep pushing it to it limits.
You reckon the P4/5 will go a full race here on one set of softs?

I need my own revenge in Bathurst, so joined this event! I love the track and the fact that there are only 2 cars instead of all those GT3. I hope more people join us, otherwise 60 mins might be a bit too long innit? (last week I learnt this word "innit" and I want to use it as if I were a native :D).
Have a nice weekend

Time flies when you innit!! :D
A shorter race might be worth looking at for next summer. Hope the temps are a bit lower for the euro guys this weekend.

Funnily I find the Porsche more stable.
I know that sounds like a contradiction
You are stuck with very stiff dampers on the 911 but more compliance suspension.
The p4 seems to have sharper, shorter suspension and is more easily upset by bumps..
I preferred the 911 going flat chat, but the p4 seems to more easily achieve the same rate of speed, but is not happy with the chicane on the top of the hill.
But then I really hate this circuit and see very little reason for it existence:roflmao::roflmao:
I am hoping to try and sort the P4 before this weekend, so not sure about tyres.
