2002 European GP

Back-to-back wins for Kederer
Jordan driver Kederer secured his 4th win. Tim Engberink joined him on the podium in 2nd place, while Rui Martins had his best result in a while finishing in 3rd place.
At the start Engberink kept the upper hand over Kederer. Hunsley lost out in the first corner and dropped down to 7th, while Rui Martins got up from 11th to 6th. At the back end Buurlage had an epic start, climbing up from last to 13th. At the end of lap 1 Kederer made an optimistic passing attempt on Engberink, pushing the Dutchman off the track. He cut the NGK chicane to rejoin still in 1st, but worse traction for him allowed both Kederer and Goddard to get past. Rinneaho struggled to heat up his tyres, and dropped behind Brugman and Martins. A blow for Brugman's title hopes when he retired in lap 4 with a puncture. Diehl and Utzer made contact while battling for 7th, forcing them both to pit for damage repairs. At pretty much the same time Laad retired as his suspension collapsed.
Scheduled stops followed around 10 laps later, but it didn't change the order in the top 6. Behind Sigoulakis got past Reed and Buurlage. Nearing the second round of stops, Hunsley managed to pass Rinneaho. Goddard passed Kederer for the race lead soon after, but retired with a loose wheel just as he was about to approach the pits. Again, the order in the top 6 remained unchanged. Kederer went on to win, Engberink got 2nd, Martins held on to 3rd. Hunsley stayed ahead of Rinneaho, who was closing in quickly in the final laps. Sigoulakis got the last point for 6th.

@Manolis Sigoulakis: Once again good speed in the race, what is lacking in quali?

Our main focus is the race, but I hoped from something even better than sixth after I got 12th. We might be slow in qual, but we are fast in the races and we hope this pays off while the season moves on.

Well, Pablo was running 8th when he and Ben crashed, forcing both to make an extra stop. Omer had it difficult from 21st, he gained a bit but lost during stops as it seems
