This week as chosen by you as Track of the Month: the Sachsenring!

Once a classic road racing circuit behind the Iron Curtain, today's Sachsenring has been transformed into a modern arena ands since then it has been a mainstay of the ADAC GT Masters and other national championships on four wheels, as well as being one of the ADAC's major driver training facilities.


SPECIAL ATTENTION: in this race the Renault 5 Turbo Europe is introduced in the RWD class as an alternative for the Mazda. You can add the slick tyres from the Abarth or the MX5 to the car using Content Manager. You have to install it even if you drive another car otherwise you can't join the event. See the event details where to find the mod.

Sign up:
Go to the FWD vs RWD series Q2 using the Emperor account you have been given and register with your steamID.

If you don't have an Emperor account yet, ask for one by posting in this thread (only for premium members).

We used the BMW E30 325i before but it proved a bit too slow for the series.
The Renault 5 Turbo Europe will be replacing it, in this coming & future races.

Just tested Renault and Abarth, what a grip difference between old vs. new tyre compounds....and lap times. Anyway, Renault it is for this race, totally hilarious little beast.

But I have to say, the Suzuki is insane around here. After turn 3 it's full throttle all the way until turn 12. The Mazda's only hope is that the Suzukists fall asleep during the race.

Will be an interesting one. See you guys Wednesday!

Renault has,nt a chance,i,ve got to within 4 hundreths of @Shed 17 time and that was pushing it.Might have to pull my Nutter Bastard Twin Turbo Nitro Rocket Propelled Set -Up out now,guys are getting toooo quick..

If you do that Allan I'll have to throw my co-driver out because he is slowing me down tooo much....!

I tried the Renault, after changing the horrible sound track (I used the Ford Escort Mk3 Turbo sound) I did a few laps. It felt like it has potential but lap times a way off the front of the grid at this stage.

I've tried both. With both cars I was a second faster than with the MX5 in my first timed lap. That means that they are way too fast.

You can now in CM add slicks to the choice of tyres for the Renault and try again. I've used the slicks from the Abarth and that worked also on the server.

EDIT: on the slicks of the MX5 Cup I did a 1.35.9.

Click Replace tyres at the bottom and you get a list of tyres of cars to choose from. Select one and drag it to the left to add the tyres.
