CP2077 runs beautifully now, and I find it to be a little better now. But I still have personal skill issues I need to conquer before I can truly dive into it. I'm all kinds of bad at first person shooters. CP2077 doesn't hold my hand enough for me to find the game enjoyable. The enemies still can easily hit and kill me, while they are bullet sponges. Hacking feels unintuitive and I would like to see what my key binds are while in hacking mode. It's a royal PITA to keep toggling between the game and my key bindings while trying to do s***. Surprise stealth attacks are still not working for my character. I sneak into position and use a silenced pistol, and... Bullet sponge mode activates. WTF! The only success I am having with the game is melee, but I can't hack and slash MFs on the other side of the factory floor before they either spray me with lead before I can get to them or, hack my character and cause all sorts of weird s*** to happen...
In short, I'm still not having a good time with CP2077 2.0. Starfield's AI is an extra special kind of dumb, and that helps with my craptastic FPS skills. Plus the exploits adds an extra level humor to the game (construction scaffold ship FTW). So it's more of my speed, even if it's boring in a lot of areas.
But lame brained AI is definitely the topic of FM. Is there a way to take the "hit me" sign off of my car when racing the AI? Or should we start calling the CPU A.S. (Artificially Stupid)? The bots seem to go out of their way to leave a mark on my car whenever I make a pass. Sometimes these bums will go out of their way to do so. One example I can think of is, I'm currently grinding the Porsche Carera for the modern sport event, and I am repeatedly practicing with the car at Watkins Glen. I gave the Ai all of the inside line and attempted to pull an over-under on it. This fool took the bait and went wide, while I tucked in and took the inside line. When I was about to clear them, it turned back onto the inside line and pitted me. I could have sworn they were supposed to be able to see me? What gives???
I agree, they aren't the best but from my experience not the worst at game launch and will hopefully improve in time.
What AI strength are you running?
I am using 8 and have only had a handful of collisions resulting in me going off... admitting l might have been the cause in half of them lol
They definitely will rub doors going through corners and give the odd tap from behind.
If you try to dive bomb or sneak into the inside of a turn they will turn into you like you don't exist.
My biggest issue I've seen, is the AI's random slow down during a race, where they will just hit the brakes after a turn or on a straight?
In regards to my HDR comment in earlier posts, I figured out what was causing the issue. I had night light enabled in Windows which was warming the picture at 9pm and disabling at 7am so it was screwing up the HDR as it was set to daytime light.
Overall, I am really enjoying the visuals and find it looks absolutely beautiful in certain settings.
Hopefully, some future optimization will gain me 10+ fps so I can maintain 60 fps in all conditions at high settings 2560x1080 and I won't have to upgrade my GTX 1660 ti
