Does anyone know what this little red box is ,
Its driving me nuts ,
I made the hole to mount it , but just love the look of it ,
I like the tape , I want to make it , crease bend it and show it some love

For pointing out this maybe just a camera , Seemed so , But you never know

Anyways ,
I set up a DUMMY to represent the drivers eye level ,
And positioned and rotated my camera perfect horizontal ,
Works out the real camera is exactly 31.5 degrees of rotation ,
And 512 MM Away from the drivers eyes

Probably a dumb question, but do you have a rough idea what the fov will need be to have both of the mirrors on a single screen? Hopefully this isn't a ridiculous question!

I was playing about with the settings ingame last week ,
And almost had the position from the TV cams ,
But then looked @NeverKrash had already made some in a different setting ,
Maybe hes got a better idea on the subject , I believe mine was around 52 cant remember without looking at the saved files

This looks like a mylaps transponder, judging by the rounded shape and protruding light. If this car was running somewhere outside of F1 events, then they may of needed to put this on rather than the standard Tag-heuer system

This was bugging me too lol ,
Still not made it yet , I dont know what it is , so probably wont add it ,
I like to know what things are and make them work ,
I think its some kind of marshal light system on the side like in F1

This too as me wondering ,
Obviously I can make it from pictures I have better side shots , Just grabbed this to show ,
Anyways ,
I must have over 700 resources , pics / data / blueprints and such ,
From early 2011 to 2017 ,
After studying so many of these pics , 2015 DRS was added to G2 ,
And looking at earlier pics ,
This object I can not see in any earlier stuff ,
I have zero clue what it is ,
And have never seen any pics with any lights in it ,
To me looks like some kind of sensor or light warning system ,

Maybe because its close to the warning items for the marshall,s like in F1 ,
Maybe its some kind of DRS related electrical safety light ,

More excited wondering what it is lol ,
Obviously someone knows , But its all good fun and I have enjoyed trying to work it out

I've only seen the transponder used in pictures from testing, not on race weekends. I don't know how GP2 test days work, but if they have to share the track with other classes then that would be why they need a different transponder system.

I found the light on all cars at the 2016 Catalunya test, but nowhere else yet.

Dont know what these look like ingame yet , There fresh off the press ,
But anyways ,
Took a while to get them how we was wanting them with the details and cuts ,
But I am proud of this curved glass ,
It looks soo nice cant wait to see them ingame

@NeverKrash Noticed some differences in the contours of the actual mirrors we had and the glass ,
The reference that got brought to me was really nice quality what he found ,
Had really nice resolution , Also David found one from another angle ,
So now we are confident the details will match the rest of the build

Theres still a few more details to add , and obviously the interior ,
In which earlier I created 3 blueprints by hand from reference ,
But external is looking how we was hoping at this stage .

Well considering the 2017 Hybrid was sold for pennies, I imagine this one will be equally as inexpensive (considering the quality of course).

I hope if he is bored after finishing this project, that he'll do the new formula 3 car and maybe the f4 to comlete the row

Just had the thought of the mystery roll bar light, could it be the fia GeForce / medical light? F1 has a light on the roll bar that when lit means a mandatory trip to the medical centre. It could be the same system in gp2

Thats what I was thinking , some kind of marshall medical warning light or something like this ,
