AC Ford v Ferrari @ Le Grand Circuit 1967, Tue 11th June 2024

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
i don't think there is a setup that makes any difference to the car other than some sort of personal preference.
so i would just say what you know anyway. :)
it is constant oversteer, understeer, locking brakes, and a driver input to sort it all out. All i can say, it is more of everything in the GT40:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:
nope for the headlights

Well that was an absolute disaster, first knocked ernie off at the Mulsanne Kink, was just getting back on the throttle as I had braked a little to avoid hitting him before hand, didn't expect the car to accelerate that potently straight into the back of ernie.

Then had to fetch a new car as the suspension was broken due to driving over the sand barriers, and then a lap later had the exact same malfunction due to lack of skills ;)

Well done everyone. In spite of the apparent mis-match the Ferrari won. Well done to Thomas for the win. Only separated by 0.1 secs in the end!
Thx, was good fun. Jason and me didn't take it too seriously in the last 2 laps, we waited each other after incidents which both of us had. Just for fun did a slipstream battle to the line.
I had pretty constant laps and short to the end I was not too far behind Jason and was on an absolute PB so I thought I send it through that last kink but I touched the wall and the car spun. After that I spun again on overheated tyres. Jason was in the lead by far but he waited and so I had at least some interesting last laps as most of the race I was racing alone. But nonetheless good fun, normally I suck at vintage cars but I kind of like this Ferrari which is actually fun to drive. My best would have been a low 3.30, I was on standard setup (except tyre pressure). The top speed advantage of the Ford is too much to beat it with the Ferrari, think on other tracks Ferrari is maybe ahead.

Thx for organizing and racing

I'll try them on another circuit next week. Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks for the track suggestion. One to consider after next weeks race on the Fat Alfie classic - Feldbergring.
