just run the Ferrari, obviously it will struggle, but it is not that far off the pace, about 4 to 5 seconds. i have been in worse situations than that.
So how's everyone enjoying the GT40? Definitely is more of a engine braking car then anything else, dropped the gear one notch and changed the toe to be rather flat given the nature of the track, but I don't really appear to be able to breach 320km/h. The Mullsanne Straight is kinda boring without the chicanes to be honest, but it is the reason for the appearance of the Mullsanne Monsters so I can't hate on it in that regard!
On another note, I upped the rev limiter to the max, perhaps feels a bit unfair with these damage levels. What is everyone's view on that?
EDIT: Just realized I have been racing the WSC/WSL packs from Baza for the longest time, we could consider the cars from that pack for this race!
They are absolute bangers to drive, though that Chaperal thing scares me
Sure we can, we've been using custom AC cars for ages now that are not on RD! Same with tracks, not sure where this is coming from but it would rule out the RSS/URD/VRC cars we've been using among many others!
It's above my pay grade (which pays zero by the way) to decide what is and is not allowed. So I generally stick to OT content. If other staff have got permission to use content then I'll use it too.
I just don't want a series of over powered high grip cars that are dependant on too much skilful applications of accelerator and brakes to keep them on the road and to be competitive. ( race car tyre adhesion that suddenly lets go when they were perfectly stable in the previous two laps )
Usually I have always struggled somewhat with our latest incarnation of vintage GT3 cars and the like, but at least I can race them easily, alas slowly, but consistently.
Mainly relying on keeping them consistently lapping at a constant pace. this is my gripe with our F3 series. they are stupidly difficult to drive, the original F3 cars i would compete in, same car -200hp.
I don't mind the gt40 and Ferrari because they are always, for every straight and corner, difficult. So you drive with that in mind. They are just always plain difficult, but cars that you cannot tell when they are going to let go is another thing entirely.
