Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
Great second race tonight! Had an incident early in the first so was a lonely enough afair. Some great battles with scott, matt and rasmus! I was giving it the full white van man on a friday evening charge but didn't have the pace to make the top ten! Thanks to john for organising and all who took part. Great numbers out.

Doing the Schumacher against me worked out pretty well from Brian.. Me telling Scott I'd do the same to him.. Guess he didn't hear me haha

It totally went over my head! I though you were referring to a manoeuvre on the uphill section named after him, but once you did that it went click! :D

I've had some races that have made me chuckle, but this one had me guffawing. Thanks for arranging it @Medilloni

That was great fun.

I thought the first race ended when being caught in the middle going 3 wide through turn 5/6 (that was never going to end well for at least one of us) but then I managed to slowly catch and pass loadsa vans towards the end of the race.

Race 2 was pretty much constant fun from start to finish. I ended up making a few mistakes at the hairpins and slipping back through the field towards the end, but it was still good craic.

It was dam hot, so thankfully there was plenty of time on the straights to stay "hydrated"... even if was only Wednesday.

More of the same please!

Yes it was hot indeed. Maybe next time @Medilloni can provide us with a Transit mod with airco?

Thank you John and Chris for organising  Interesting car for sure. Due to its non existent power, you have to be very precise and clean in the corners. That made it quite challenging. Maybe it's a suitable car for learning new tracks and improve cornering technique?

Wow! thanks for the great turn out guys (especially in this heat!)... and your positive comments, I really appreciate it - what a bundle of fun it was  Huge thanks to @Chris Down for taking over at the last minute! Congrats to the podium guys, you damn well deserve that one!

Just made it for the first race, had a ball from then on - wondered how many ppl were doing stretching exercises on the straights (I was) and if anyone was resting their right arm on the 'virtual' window rest (I was)

I guess this kind of race stretches the rules a wee bit with some maneuvers, being a van 'n all - I know I had to wait a few times 'cos I wasn't sure who/if I was responsible for nudges and scrapes, but it didn't take anything away from the event imo (I hope!). And re @640er comment, I agree totally, found myself concentrating much more on the bits I need to improve on (everything lol) - but then it's easy in slo-mo:roflmao:

Hope you can join again for something a bit quicker next Weds - weighs 1100kgs, produces 500bhp:whistling:
