AC Ford Escort RS 1600 @ Zandvoort - Mon 14 Sep 2020

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
Im in, but not entirely sure if the electrician can fix my electricity today, because the safety switches have been doing weird things for a few days. And if he cant fix it today I might not be able to update you, because I have no mobile connection at Home. Hopefully it works out and I can race you all tonight

That's fine, there are plenty of slots left.
I'll put you as a maybe and hope to see you on track this evening. :)

Sorry I can't join either, I'm in another race series during the same time slot. But I couldn't resist the combo so I had a little romp on the track this morning. I only did a little tweaking to the brake pressure and bias to suit me better. GLHF!

Thanks for letting me join with such a late notice.(like one minute);)
Nice experience going from 90s BTCC and jump in the RS 1600.

Happy with first race. Slowly building up pace and ended in 5th.

Pole for the second race, @HF2000 gets an amazing start and takes the lead. I tried to get past until I locked up into the chicane and ended up in the sand...

Got back on track but struggled with braking points and started to feel real dizzy. Then I realised I had already taken my sleeping pill because I was not supposed to race with you tonight. :D :whistling: Then I parked the car...

Anyway, thanks for organizing
Cya next time :sleep::sleep:

Huge thanks for putting this on tonight @Denis Betty , what a super combo:inlove: ... and great racing through the field (just watched the replays).

Congrats to the podium guys (I definitively lucked into mine in R1!), and I really hope no-one used the setup I posted, was great the other night, tonight it felt undriveable like every lap was a special stage:laugh::p

I had to laugh when @Neilski mentioned me in the 2nd race, I hardly ever reply 'cos my mic switch is out of sight, but I did... then thought I'd left it on.... looked down to turn off, then straight off into making sand castles:roflmao: I think you did it on purpose Neil:sneaky:

Great race for me, both races, bugger all stress, just had the single job of giving John and Han loads of grief. :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:
Seemed to have had nothing but grief in all my races of late, so it was a welcomed change for me to just be a bit knackered after two races.
What can I say, so impressed with Han and John, if the boot was on the other foot I would have wilted by lap four at best.
Congrats to Han for a well deserved win, John too. And all the other driver’s that took part.
A special thankyou to @Denis Betty for the organisation of said race and a flying pole position.
Let’s hope Wednesday goes as well.

Also great evening for me! Very intens, very rewarding! Managed 2nd in qually and had a great start getting first after Tarzancorner. @Denis Betty behind me was faster, especially in the brake zones so I was defending all the way and trying to create a gap in sector two to compensate for the bad braking. Unfortunately we had a small contact which made us both go off so @Medilloni and @Kek700 could profit. Tried to defend 3th but made a mistake in the last lap so Denis took the last podium place. Well deserved because he had incredible lap times.

Second race starting position 2 behind @Erik Axelsson but again with a good start I managed in Tarzan to get ahead of him. Same story, he was faster and it was all defending for me until he tried to outbrake me in the chicane and went into the sand. The rest of the race I was defending against Ernie who had similar pace but as I made some small mistakes he was on my tail for the last laps.
With sweatty hands and soaken T-shirt I passed the finish as winner of my home circuit:):):)!

Thank you all for joining for these great combo's that @Denis Betty for us organizes.

Yeah, great fun despite it being a super-tricky little beggar to drive!

LOL, sorry John! Guess that's the equivalent of the commentator's curse ;)
