Me and my brother along with another 10 Drivers we're playing last night for a good hour.... absolutly no lag at all very smooth.

Not being funny or to dampen your mood but this is in the F1 Forum, for F1 Races... we all like F1 alot hence why we're here organizing races to have fun

next time you see me online send me a message, i'll create a session to see if you can connect to me, im sure you will be able to if so then you can participate in the race without any problems.

My only suspicion is, i think the coding in the game is alot less unstable for private matches then the public ones.

you really need to check your ports out that might be the problem.

well the other day when i hosted many were able to join the session... so i really dont think its a problem with the ports.. and im able to play random online sessions..
but anyway, do you have any ideas which ports the game uses?

It may help to open ports 3074 (TCP/UDP) and perhaps 88 (UDP) too, I say "may help" because some have had success in doing so and some have not.

that's correct.

Also when you logon to Windows Live go to the settings / click network Infortmation... check if the NAT Type is open.
also check out UPnP it should say "UPnP in Use"

I'm open to suggestions as to the setup of the race, the only ting that will stay is the track, I love Sao Paulo, fun and easy to drive especially in rain..... Muahahahah :wink:

Knowing Codemaster's i think yes... so far they have the same replay function in GRID, Dirt, Dirt2.... they copy alot of things the same in previous titles. abit lame, so it wouldn't suprise me much if they use the same ports... i guess it is more simple for the users to get multiplayer sorted... if there was any trouble on any of their products.


Tonight.... i am hosting a session at 7PM GMT..... if any wishes to join and have Races with me and my brother you're more then welcome, also it's to test out the connection for participants.

So far everything is going good, me and my brother have been hosting sessions with no problems at all. we done 6 Tracks last night on one session.
