Qually - 1st
Quickest lap I've done at Melbourne and certainly wasn't expect to do a 21.7

Race - 1st
Had a good get away and managed too hold onto 1st going into T1. Went a touch wide at T6 but it wasn't anything major. Think Adel must have done the same but whatever happened I got a 2s gap out of it.
Had a little lock up at the 2nd to last corner at the end of my 1st stint which lost me a touch of time but still held on to 1st.
Pretty quiet after that, only thing that really happened was me and Andrew swapped for 1st because of the different strategy but that was about it.

So yeah, good pole and good win at one of my weaker tracks

Q - 4th - Very happy with my starting position but it I'm pretty sure I would have been further down the order if there was'nt a lag.

R - 4th - I can't believe how I could hold on to 4th, I'm sure the first corner incident helped me but I had decent pace during the race and I didn't do many mistakes. Around 40 seconds behind Jordie, but it's still a 4th! And finishing my first league race up there was unbelievable.

QF:Slow, dont know where im doing it wrong

Race: The car felt fine, but i still dont know where im losing so much time, specially compared to my teammate Jamie, wich unfortunatly for him he probably lost a Win today, but on other hand he basicly gave me a P4 and more entertainment, right when i was falling asleep on P8 alone on track.

After SC i picked up the pace, on leighter car things seem to go ok, but i struggle on heavy car untill middle of race....

I hate myself for getting a penalty (which was my fault, sry Emil!) and spinning in lap 55, but I've got it back together and made a highlights vid (of the first race I finished last in)... Painful but fun! I went for an agressive 3 stop strategy (necessary in a tire-eating monster like the Williams) and it paid off, until the SC ended my ambitions and set everyone back to zero.

I feel much better about first lap T1, I was worried I was a lot more to blame for Henri spinning. Ambitious braking from whoever was behind you Dion!

My highlights video of my race.

Qualifying: 3rd

Was on target for a 21.9 but hit the bollard thus ending the lap. 22.5 being the slowest quali lap ive done but oh well.

Race: 2nd

Got past Adel as he ran wide in T6 and that was it lol Jordie was had the race won before the race even started. I tried to attack at the end but losing a couple of seconds behind Drew sealed the deal. Still, 2nd place in my debut is a great result. Just gotta hope Jordie isn't a second faster than all of us at every track we go to this season otherwise this champ is done already lol

Well that was interesting.

Didn't make it to qualify, so I had to start at the back of the grid on default setup.

Went from 14th to 4th by the end of Lap 1 due to collisions.

Couldn't believe I was able to hold on to 3rd place for that whole race. Driving on default setup is not fun and definitely not worth it to miss qualifying for. It showed in the overall finishing order my lap time was way off par with a bunch of drivers behind me. Doing a 2 stopper helped also.

Well not the ideal start to the season. Good to see a near full grid with an assortment of driver skills to make the overall championship interesting. Quali I got screwed over as the game ended my session prematurely when I could have gone faster but can't expect too much from this game.

Race, got shafted in T1, dropped to last and from there recovery mode. Able to fight back up to 7th but the setup I needed to do better just wasn't there. Need to practice more with the Mclaren to really find some pace to be competitive. Lot of work to do and should see lots of exciting battles over the coming races.

Congrats Jordie on the win as I knew you had the pace to run away with it.

Nice video Gav, enjoyed watching that.. I hear that the FIA are investigating for illegal use of 'OSD' ;):ninja::sneaky:

For God's sake Gavin! You have everything turned on. How did you even see your car? I'm surprised we didn't see T-Cam on that one. :roflmao:

Verdict: 10 spot grid penalty next 80's race and win stripped a la Riccardo. Unless you get pole, you will have to start from the pits. You will have to figure out how to do this, but, you know, rules is rules. You can appeal to Peter Hooper, the Chief of Chief Stewards.

I do miss the status for fuel info, but to be fair the engineer did give me decent feedback on Sunday but I am never sure whether I can fully believe him so tend to err on the side of caution.

Ok, Max 3 out of, what, 6 OSD options. That's generous, no? Some people feel the absolute need for certain ones and have good justification. For instance, Karl doesn't need a track map because he has no concept of cars coming up on him. I don't need the gap info because I always know the gap to the 2nd to last car -- 45.32 seconds ahead.

Would you be open to moving it back time wise so Champ guys could take part if wanted to? Alternative a Saturday would be nice not sure how everyone would feel about that though.

Can't do Saturday's here, but we can surely move it back. I sort of feel like Champ brought this on themselves, but I think the PLR crowd is very magnanimous and would absolutely be willing to move it's time.

I doubt it's ever going to work past 10pm (your time) on either side of the pond (getting late over there, and getting dinner time over here). Be nice if we could go 9:30pm. Champ needs to throw us a bone after summarily overlapping us.

I'll post the next one for 10pm. If anyone has a problem that's been a long standing member here, back it goes to regular time. But I think most people would be happy to get back the really dedicated drivers like yourself and Chris who where simply caught in the middle. I know it's a long haul, but just think of PLR as a fun, short little capper.

I'll reset the teams with you in a permanent spot. @Chris Benham I hope can do the same. It would revert back to the original teams.

So, let's see how it went, before the disconnection.

Qualy: Target 6th - Result 4th
Really pleased with my qualy, did an 1:32.7 in my first lap, 1:32.5 on my second even though I was losing 4 tenths in the first sector. So, happy, but could go better.

Race: Target 3rd - Result DNF
My race started really well. Clean, and keeping the pace and the position I wanted. I made a mistake on lap 2, which cost me a position, and taking advantage of the mistakes, I was up to third. Then, while battling with Angelo, I basically lost connection.

Video expected to go up in 20 minutes from the time I posted.
