MEDIA QUESTIONS
1: Were there any issues tonight, or did everything fall into place for you?
the only issue i had was being hit while leading on lap 9 by Linblom98 that probbably lost me the race as i was spun right round and into the gravel trap but in fairness i dont think he had anywhere to go , he appologised after the race so we will just call it a racing incident . no worries .

2: How was your Q session
my Q session was quite good as i was 2nd but slighty dissapointed as i should of got pole as i made a small mistake on my hot lap .

3: Were you happy that for once there was no RAIN?

Race Report

qually went well and i was 2nd on the grid a bit dissapointed as i made a mistake on my hot lap and probbably should of got my first pole.

Race
held my postion of the line and the first few cotners then beerboy went wide at the hairpin and i took the lead , pushed like hell but couldnt shake Lindblom98 off had a 2-3 sec lead as we were tradeing fastest laps then my tyres started to go lap 6 he caught me up slightly and there was only a 1.5 sec gap , lap 9 went into second corner and the car tried to swap ends on me i corrected the slide then got hit of lindblom98 as i said before though he had nowhere to go so it was a racing incident , getting hit wasnt really the problem it was being spun round into the gravel that cost me so much time , i then dropped to 3rd place and thought id stay out for a few more laps before pitting to try a claw some of the lost time back, the pits wanted me to pit on lap 10 but i did another few laps and pitted on lap 12, got primes on and rejoined in 4th as iam_thegame passed me on pit exit , i had to turn engine down so i would finish race.
i then made a small mistake sliding again at turn 2 and tpotank passed me and i went down to 5th i could see he was quicker than me at that stage of the race as he caught up to iam_thegame quite quickly they must of had somesort of tussle or tpotank made a mistake as i passed him when he was off track , i then got in a good rhytham and caught iam_thegame up i was thinking about an overtake but he pitted and i went up to 3rd still in fuel saving mode i had a 12 sec lead over 4th who was tpotank now ,1st and 2nd were 20secs ahead so i just concentrated on keeping 3rd , 4 laps to go tpotank started catching me very fast i had no option but had to turn my engine back up , last lap fuel light came on but i managed to bring the car home in 3rd for my first podium with rd.
happy with podium but couldnt help thinking what might of been if i never got hit never mind good race see ya in hungary next week.

So your telling me that both you and Jan have another person in the single seat F1 car with you during league races? I think this is something the officials will need to hear about

I qualified on primes in a 6th place with a 1:32.1xx
I always drive 2 laps in the qually to safe my tires for in the race and it worek out superbly.
Had this fantastic start from P6 to P5. Made this little mistake in the first lap and went back to P8, but there was no rush for me. Ther ace was stil 25 laps for the running. I think I didn't take any overtakes by myself and so it was a very lonely race for me Only Italian Red could pass me because I mad this stupid fault. I was alot on pressure by him and then you a fault like braking to late and down shifting to fast lol Anyway it was a very pleasure race and ended in 3rd place. Can't complain about that!!

I did 1 stop also, pitted 2nd or 3rd lap (i forget) for drive through. then went to lap 12/13/14 before went in for full wets. car felt odd at 1st but adjust wing 1 click and i was off!! definatly alot of grip 1st few laps of rain. however my tyres were red for last 6-8 laps and felt unstable. why were people changing between engine modes? i know can run out fuel at valencia but is it a regular thing on 75%? right sunday morning the missus is out.... time for some practise muhahaha!

Mark the throttle map thing is that in the wet the fast map setting can sometimes cause too much wheelspin.
I did find it ok on the inters though after using std for much of the race.
The other thing about the throttle maps is that if tyre wear is a problem the softer /slower maps will conserve tyres a little.
So for example when your wets went orange if you had a good lead switching to std or cruise would have managed the tyres a bit and made the car easier to handle on corner exit.

I def pitted too early forinters, not only did the dry tyre runners fare ok for many laps the first set of inters only lasted about 8 laps.

Once signups ar done we rank drivers 1-11 on speed. We have a pretty good idea from previous races both league and club. (with new drivers its estimated.)
we then invert that order and allocate cars slowest cars to fastest drivers.
The formation lap is then used to get cars in order fastest to slowest.
If someone wins they get issued a slower car. If they are of the pace they get issued a faster one.
It seems to work very well.

We are half way through the season, doing the first have with assists on we could do the next half with assists off! This will make the racing much more exciting.

So, what do you think, race with all the assists off?

The Pro-Am event every Thursday also has all assists off so you can also practice there.

Please vote Yes or No. If you want you can say Yes but say you want a certain thing on.

I will also send out messages on XBL to try and get more votes.
