ok ive sorted the issue, i managed a game online. allthough i was left for dead at the start and got lapped after 4 laps ?, also the boy i was playing with said he was going to do rude things to my mother ?, shes been dead for 18 years so i wouldnt recomend it. potty mouth became quite annoying after a while so i simply quit the game,

all good though regarding my ability to play online

Ah ha you got sorted then Chris good stuff. Yes I will organise another 'Sunday Racer' I was planning on making it a regular thing. I also want to organise some real race's as it were i.e no sim's on at all and longer race's for point's so we can get a little league going and speaking of that I know someone who has an F1 2010 league table we may be able to possibly use, isn't that right Fahad (say yes and you redeem yourself in my eye's lol).

And Fahad you are right I wish I had managed to record what I saw your car doing lol 100 ft in the air then half the car in the air (rear) and other half stretched down to the track lol the car at Spa omg Eau Rogue (turns 2 & 3 up the hill) your car looked to be possessed in it's behaviour lol You should check your pc for spyware & alike and processes running in the background (mine is down to 40 processes max with game running)

@Jan, or... watch this space mate ! Once a week is not often enough I agree.

Ok, sounds good.
Was also gonna ask you guys how you feel about banning ABS and TC, but you were also talking in that direction.
For myself i can say that everything off except auto gears is ok by me, (I suck even more than now, if i had to drive with manual gears) lol

We will work something out Chris (C4RBON) don't worry, what night's/day's and time's are good for you Chris ?. I find driving without aid's not as bad as I thought it would be, in some respect's it is easier as using the engine to break by dropping gear's help's immensely instead of actual breaking in some corner's. It definitely speed's you up when you get the hang of it (I am still practising). We need to work out the best day's and time's for people so I can better host for you guy's.

I am driving with all aids off anyway, but I agree on making it obligatory.

I really think you should start to use manual gears. This will only take you some races to learn and it will pay off, guaranteed.
You're so much smoother and also faster if you can make the car do exactly what you want and when.

Well, I can definitly see the advantage of manual, for example, there are some places where i want the gearbox to drop down a gear for a better exit and it does'nt.... even if i mostly use custom setups for gears (and car)

Have done some testing with manual (in TT) but needs a lot more practice before using it online, i think.

Edit: And it sometimes feels like i need a quadcore brain too, just to keep everything under control... ;)

What's the point of bannind aids? You should race has you feel confortable. Like this you will be banning some good racers (yes, conseder myself not too bad). Do you feel that you can win more if you do so? Grimmie wins almost all and he uses no aids. I use it and can Not smell him. If i create a session with autogears banned, I will be throwing away guys like Grimmie and Marine5790). Would I feel better to win from guys that are not having fun or are not there at all? About two races ago, David was trying to race without aids, because he had been practicing, and he was looping around on track. It was not fun for him and not to anyone, because we had less a racer to "fight" with.
PS: Yes, as you may guess i race with TC on because i'm having troble setting my wheel, and i'm not having fun learning it. And so, what's the point. But if you'd like a "No aids League", of corse, you're free to do so. It was beeing fun.

@DAVID - I HAVE NOW REDEEMED MYSELF BY SAYING YES SURE
lets work something out then.. it would be nice.. since ppl still have interest in doing races.. we could customize a league..

@
Rodrigo - its better to ban aids.. coz recently everyone is complaining that this aint a sim and stuffs.. so lets make it more real..
and about grimmie.. he wins every race he participates in.. even though he claims that on his pc the results doesn't show him winning

abt my lag, i just guess its coz im far off from where you guys live.. the ping has to be very high i guess..
coz im pretty sure my laptop is absolutely clean..

No worries Erik.

At everyone talking about driving aids, what I was proposing earlier was that we agree on it. I mean if i threw on all the aids when we were driving, I probably wouldn't have done as poorly, but then again I'm not bothered by losing (so long as I beat David .) I only brought it up because I feel the guy with tcs and abs has the edge, no matter what, regardless it is not big deal. I agree about the transmision setting though. Automatic and manual are fine to leave, as Rodrigo said, this is a make or break situation.

I'm still working the kinks out on getting f1 2010 working on my laptop. If I can, then I can join you guys for the end of December-January, where I won't have access to my desktop. You guys should post times that you can race and I'll see what I can do. I'm at a disadvantage because I live in the states, so that's a 5hr difference.

I hear what you are saying and it's just a suggestion from my part, not necessarily something that will happend. (not saying that i have any power in deciding) :)

I can only speak for myself in this matter and i find it a bit easier to "feel" the car with ABS and TC off. In this Sundays race at Melbourne i turned on ABS and TC and it felt as i could'nt get my breaking points right...

Turned it off for Spa but kept TC on and... well, it works but the car feels a bit "slow" to me....probably will turn them off for next race.
On the other hand, in rain it's a huge help with TC, it's soooo slippery that you feel like your on ice....

As for auto gears, there is so many gearchanges in a lap that, for now, i will use auto.

Well let me clear anything up before it start's :D Sunday Racer will stay as is everything allowed. I am suggesting another race day/night where it is a bit more hardcore (well as it get's with this game anyway) and have everything down to driver control. It is not an elitist thing just another dimension of racing.

Sunday Racer is fun (even when I am ass kicked on both occasions) regardless of winning or not (in my case not) and it's more about us having that fun but together in a good race environment where we know we will have a good clean race and are making some very good friend's along the way so it is just a ++ situation. I just want to play like career but with human player's instead of AI, I can make the AI **** hot but it is not the same at all.

We can do all-sort's TT, mini GP's, quick race's, hardcore race's, and so on. the list is endless (well nearly almost a full sheet of A4 :D)
