I'm practicing for next event but still can't seem to get competitive lap times even with set ups posted here, no idea what i'm doing wrong, i feel i am lapping decently with no offs etc. Maybe it is down to actual wheel settings eg saturation/linearity etc.

Well, a big thanks to the guys for abandoning their race and allowing me into this one and the rarified air of Group 1 racing

Really enjoyed myself and despite being the last of the remaining runners over the line felt it was possibly my most consistent race of the season. Qualified pretty well for me and for the second race running lined up alongside the Fig after posting a time of 1:16.016. I was actually on a faster lap at the end and looked on for around a 1:15.5 but run out of fuel on the straight so gave it up and returned to the pits.

Got off to an ok start and was holding my position but misjudged the second chicane with the full fuel load and ran wide, after allowing the chasing cars through I rejoined in 8th. Moved up a few positions during the following laps through others misfortune and enjoyed a number of laps where I was in front of Bell, seeing him close me down up to the hairpin (where I really struggled at times with backend trying to overtake me..) only to pull away again down the straight and through the chicane. He eventually got me with one of my backend hairpin moments and was off and away from me fairly quickly. Was surprised to see that NoScope was behind me for quite a few laps and kept expecting the gap to close and have him on me but it never materialised and then message came up that he had destroyed his car and was out of the race. Pitted for my primes at around lap 14 / 15 and came out with no one around me and proceeded to just concetrate on keeping as consistent a pace as possible for the remainder of the race.

Wasn't the most exciting of runs for me as I didn't have anyone at my pace to compete with but that was always likely to be the case with the speedsters of Group 1 and it was still enjoyable anyway to put another completed race in the books.

Thanks again guys I am unable to race next week as its my anniversary and would not go down too well if I chose Valencia over a night out with the missus so hope you all have a good one

Scott, you are of course correct, I apologise for my comment. It was very inconsiderate and rude of me, let myself down badly there.

i accept your apology m8, i was very offended and upset by your comment, as CHS has spent sleepless hours doing these spreadsheets which can be a right b***c , and many many grey hairs along with baldness was formed!

however if that was a offer for you to help out then be my guest haha

Just wondering what is happening with regard to Group 2 now... two races on the trot haven't taken place so are we keeping in line with the Group 1 races or now going back to Turkey?

Also, I am not available to race this weekend due to it being my anniversary.

is anybody here using any lighting mods and custom car skins...cuz til yesterday I never had issues online...somehow i get booted if a race goes beyond 3 players..ridiculus ima have to have a uninstall the mids...

which one? im using the latest lighting and Skys + the RDD 2011 season car liveries, wheel, tyres, paddock and garages....no modifications to the Database nor the AI files were done at all except the "savefix" file that goes in teh system folder...oh well...uninstalling mods and i shoudl b ready in 5 mins. I can race without the mods anyways.

*sigh* again screwed out of a race or races for 2 days ...1. work. 2. after installing Ultralights weather v6 mod I get "network erro" while waiting for other players and then a f12010.exe stopped working issue. FML really. I never had this issues online. someone salso mention some ports...if u can post it again il take a look at it.
