Ban dynamic racing line, auto-gearbox and allow traction control & ABS...
Trax control gives an edge in some corners (especially Shanghaï), unlike auto-gearbox or dynamic racing line.. What's the point of not allowing them for others ? Would it bother you to know that the guy next to you is using dynamic racing line or struggling with autogears?
I really hate this, when people choose their favorite Assist Restrictions and then impose it.

Glad you worry about my way to take things.
The race does look better and maybe Paul, for example, will participate.
I was just a little curious about your thinking.
Creating the race, setting the driving aids, questions through your mind :
"Should I allow the traction control? Oh yea, it's arcadey-cool and I like pushing full throttle in low gears."
"Should I allow the dynamic racing line? Oh no thanks, as I don't use the dynamic racing line I think nobody should."
See what I mean, what I dislike. But I take it easy, Ricardo, I really do.
:)

How to: setup your own custom club races!

The Racing Staff of RD has decided as from today on wards every licensed member of RaceDepartment is allowed to setup/host their own races here at the F1 2010 forum.

No longer do you have to look for suitable races within your time zone. Set it up yourself. Alter the settings. Publish and race with your friends on the PC / Xbox 360 / PlayStation 3.

Racing Clubs are for one-off or regular fun events. Championships and leagues are not permitted. If you are interested in running leagues please contact a member of staff.

How can I host my own races at RD?

Follow the steps below to make your event to a success

  • Click on the "new thread" button
  • A pre-printed stencil with settings will appear
  • Choose the settings you like
  • Give the thread a suitable title F1 2010 @ <insert track name> - <insert date according to the format>
  • Update <click edit> the first thread with signed up drivers
  • All RD racing rules still apply on each session. So behave nicely :)
  • Only Licensed members can host and/or join events
Not a licensed member yet? Click here to read the rules and make your application today!

In case of abuse / advertising or any other unwanted action by the host or players please contact the moderators of this forum by private message.

Enough reading, head over the RD Racing Club and have fun!

Just a little heads up about the driving aids:

If you allow for example Dynamic Racing Line and Automatic gears it doesn't mean that both features will be automatically enabled. The players then have the option to use that certain aid. Racing line is helpful for some people who are just starting or are unfamiliar with the track. I would recommend to always allow automatic gears, so everyone can make their own choice and disabled members (we have some here at RaceDepartment) can also join, which would be impossible for them if own manual gears would be allowed.

Thanks for setting up the event Ricardo :)

Your right Brian....that would be 12 noon my time....thanks.....I was alittle confused. I'm from Connecticut which is in New England in the Northeast part of USA.....its about 100 miles north of New York City. And YOU??

I live in the southwest part of the UK in Torquay Devon, it is a holiday resort which is about 200 miles from London. See you online Gary will start doing invites 15 minutes before race.
