Does anyone know why some models can be loaded from 2017 like the cars but others crash like the faces?
it's because of the EAID system, essentially the cars are done by copy pasting and adding them to the folder structure which due to the way Codies do the naming is possible, then you just use the assetgroups to load them, I guess you maybe could swap to 2017 faces if you imported the 2017 incardriver as it is also specified by year.

Thanks for the quick response. I tried using the 2017 incardriver file, it doesn't crash until you finish the race or have wheel to wheel contact with another car but it stretches the head all over the place whilst driving. I may have done something wrong though

did you import it in as a folder to imitate the 2017 structure within 2018? So in F1 2018\asset_groups\animation_package\scenes\incardriver created a folder called 2017 and then pasted the incardriver there with the assetgroup, and then added a reference to that incardriver in the 2018 assetgroup and then edited the xml files to refer to 2017 head(s) instead?

Yeah I created the 2017 folder

And I added it to the assetgroup of the 2018 one

ok yeha that seems like the way it would work if it were to work. Might just be that they changed something about the model structures between 2017 and 2018 which makes it not work

I've tried to swap faces between F1 2018 and 2017 a couple of months ago and I think that specific face is searching for its own texture, for example you have Dany Kvyat's face, you put it instead of Gasly and it will try to find dany kvyat's textures and not gasly's but you cant put new files into erp so it will crash
it's just a guess so dont think that is true

p.s. I've been trying to replace .erp's resources, not just put line "2017-daniil-kvyat" inside incardriver.erp instead of "2018-pierre-gasly"

Hello. Anyone knows if you change the chassis of one car (McLaren for example) to williams crashes in Q2 but if you change it to other chassis like renault, ferrari or red bull doesn't crash

When I try to paint Mclaren chrome, the color, in game, looks "patterned" and doesn't really have a chrome finish to it, whereas when I paint Force India chrome, the color is nice and "clean". Anyone knows why?
