I'm kind of new to the F1 2014 modding scene. What is the mirroring issue?

And in any case I'd never expect anyone could take concept art like this and replicate it 100%. There are always limitations that modders have to adapt to.

this pic explains it quite well, you see that some parts of this texture are covered in wireframe, those parts are multiple times on the car. so in this case: black is the main colour, so changing the extremely wireframed part to (for example) red, most of the car will turn into red. we can't control this and is very annoying for every modder, as we can't create detailed fictional skins without screwing up some parts. that's the mirroring issue and that's why there will be no detailed fictional haas livery

that problem occured because the person who made the McLaren mod use a highLOD mod and when the person share his/her modded LOD to others who don't install the highLOD mod, the car wouldn't appear in a certain distance.
that's a Merc rite? try to copy the original LOD of Mercedes and rename it to mc2_highLOD and mc2_lowLOD and place them to Mclaren cars folder.

Hi everyone! I have a skin request.

Can someone recreate (more similar as possible) this livery with the Red Bull Chassis? the only thing is: I don't want the santander logo, the number and the driver name (fernando alonso in this case) but only the tricolore on the air box area.
for numbers on the front of the car, use 2015 numbers (7 for Kimi and 5 for Seb).

Would anyone be able to create a mod that uses old V12 or V10 engine sounds in F1 2014? I'm not someone who complains about the sport's new engine noises but I think it would be cool to have the option of using those engine sounds in the cars.
