Wotever,

Please don't look at the below until you're back from holiday. But looking at all your responses the past two weeks it appears you can't help yourself. I'm trying to display the traction control and ABS levels in AC with Simhub. Both appear to not be working in the same way. Please see the below two columns. I generated the below by stepping through all levels of both ABS and TC. The first is what is displayed for either traction control or abs in AC (top of screen), the second column is what is displayed in simhub.

0 0
1 7
2 9
3 10
4 10
5 11
6 12
7 14
8 15
9 15
10 17
11 18
12 18

As I said, both TC and ABS act the same. The Simhub data I was looking at was gamedata.newdata.tclevel and gamedata.newdata.abslevel

Hope you had a great holiday. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong when you get a chance.

Hi ! I'm back from holidays so I can answer freely :D,

In fact I got the final word yesterday about that, indeed it's not the ingame "level" but it's the traction control percent corresponding to the internal TC lut of AC :
upload_2017-7-30_21-46-21.png

for instance with this car when the level is 8 data outputs 20.
Sadly I can't read the lut of all the cars since all the official ones are packed.

Wotever updated SimHub, DIY Sim racing Dash with a new update entry:

Going mobile

What's new in 5.3.0 ?
  • Dash studio is taking the air !
    • Beta version of dash studio accessible on mobile devices, one dash two platforms, desktop, mobile, or both, your choice !

If it was a simple consistent math conversion like the example you gave it would be easy to use ncalc to implement. Where I was confused was where there was the same value in simhub with two different ingame levels. Perhaps a rounding error or data type? Float vs integer etc.?

I also neglected to mention the car I was using to generate the table was the Ferrari 488GT3.

Good day. First of all, I want to congratulate you for that great job !!. Is incredible.
Can you create a skin or a new model? I wish you could create the dash addons of a WRC car (for example, the Motec. C153 Hyundai I20 wrc), or some r5 car, like the Ford Fiesta R5, which is very simple and nice at the same time . It would be something very beautiful for the simracings that we like the rally. If I can help you with anything, do not hesitate to let me know. Sorry for my English.
A greeting. Daniel, from Argentina.-

Hi ! Dashstudio is intended to let you do it ;) you can look at the wiki there is a brief introduction on how to do it ;) you can look too at the dash studio pack here http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/dashboard-creations-for-simhub.15590/ I think @David Meek made one.

Hi everyone, I got a lot the question so i leave the response here for everyone :
To open dashstudio mobile from the latest beta : open your browser (desktop/ android / ios) and go to http://[computer ip address]:8888 (ie : http://192.168.0.20:8888)

If you don"t know your IP address you can open a browser to the good address by pressing the new "web access" button on the dash studio tab :
upload_2017-7-31_23-38-53.png

If you can't access remotely :
  • Make sure it opens right from your computer.
  • Check that your phone/tablet/nokia 3310 is connected to the same wifi/network than your computer
  • Disable or configure your windows firewall to let the 8888 TCP port enter.

Hello, i just bought a screen nextion enhanced nx4024k032 connect with ftd1232 usb but connect with your software simhub or SimHubNextionEdito? Thank you for the test but good .....

Salut Wotever,
Amazing app, stunning.... For AC, is it possible to get the track grip value ant the tyre compound ? I can't find them out in the properties.

Encore merci et bravo pour ton boulot, c'est vraiment très impressionnant

C'est un plaisir ;)

Do not forget to check show game specific data, it gives access to the whole data simhub reads.

From the Ac documentation it should be surface grip maybe you will have to multiply it by 100 using ncalc :

Compound will be available as is :

Hello again good sir.

Just a quick one this time, i did look, but didnt find, where can I find the config files of the Arduino lcd display setups.

Ive setup nice pages with all the info I want, but would like to back it up.

Thanks again, Karl

Hello again Wotever
Hope you enjoyed your holiday :)

Here i am back at it again with the tacho, i cannot for the life of me sus this one out. i get no readout on the tachometer in the test area wot so ever and its really annoying me lol. ive tried your wiring diagram to the t and even went as far as to swapping the ends of the diode and transistor , ive also rewired the thing a fair few times with no success.

kinda starting to pull my hair out a bit cause im finding no way to get it going, im using a 12v 1amp trans and a cheap $15 12v tachometer would this have anything to do with it? am also not getting any errors by the looks of things

The settings are stored in the simhub install folder :
PluginsData\PluginManagerSettings.json -> all the mappings (events & inputs)
PluginsData\Common\SerialDashPlugin.json -> all the display and leds related settings
PluginsData\Common\MultipleUsb.json -> the multi usb config

It's really weird, It should work with a little effort, here a check list :
  • Does the needle moves even a little ?
  • Cylinders : did you configure on the tach the numbers of cylinders ? It's critical
  • Which arduino model do you use ?
  • Could you try with another arduino, if you swapped the transistor and diode,it's not impossible that you fried the arduino by applying 12v to the pin. Try maybe another pin if you don't have another arduino.
  • Power supply : what 12v power supply do you use ? At least a proper 500mA is required .
  • Gnd : did you forgot to connect gnd to power supply and arduino gnd (no gnd no signal ;) )
  • Defective tach ... sh*t happens .. :(

Are awesome!!

Thank you!!
