Hi Mr Wotever

Hope you missed me.
I had 500 posts to read up on, so you been a busy man.

Thanx for a great product.

I have a few questions im not sure on.
Been offline a while ive gotten rusty and missed many steps in the SimHub versions.

1.) is Shakeit in simhub working now? I cant get it to work. Is there a correct way to set it up??

2.) is there a way, for the sim dash to open a specific screen depending on the game??
Eg. On my new 7" hdmi. use the Audi motec in pcars, then I use a Scania one in ETS2. Do I need to keep selecting tge motec display, or can I assign it to start ETS2 and use Scania R500 motec?

3.) I have an arduino nano running an i2c 2004, and an 7-segment Led, on the nano, ive set up the buttons, pins6-13, but I cannot get button on pin 13 working, any ideas? These buttons are used to change displays and motec screen.

Sorry for all the questions, not sure if ive missed something.

Karl
;)

I've started making a simple arduino display for a 20X4 screen with some simple info on it.

I would like to have some of these calculations only update when you cross the start/finish line and start a new lap instead of having them calculated constantly, is there an easy way to achieve this?

Got some crazy ideas this morning :geek::

And it is working as intended :D
Let me explain you:
The R3E Porsches (911 GT3 Cup and 911 GT3 R) have different values when each RPM LED is lit. To have them accurate you need to build 2 different LED mappings in SimHub.
I got it right with 1 LED mapping and some JS-magic

Going to upload here around the weekend with my Nextion 4.3" Template for the 911 GT3.

Hi !

I will take it in order :D
-1- Shake It : Make sure to update the sketch with the simhub version.
-2- Specific screen depending of the game : I've not added such feature I'm sorry
-3- Pin 13 is a special pin on arduino avoid this one ;) Reasons are explained here : https://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/DigitalPins
NOTE: Digital pin 13 is harder to use as a digital input than the other digital pins because it has an LED and resistor attached to it that's soldered to the board on most boards. If you enable its internal 20k pull-up resistor, it will hang at around 1.7V instead of the expected 5V because the onboard LED and series resistor pull the voltage level down, meaning it always returns LOW. If you must use pin 13 as a digital input, set its pinMode() to INPUT and use an external pull down resistor.

Hi ! Advanced Data computation is not really in the scope of the scripting languages available (they are intended for advanced data formating, The plugin SDK (c#) is targetting these needs.

Any chance of my request no2 been implemented?
(the screen per game type)
Could be a setting in the find game .Exe list
Like a "run aswel command"

And a tricky one, I run a dual boot, some games in win7 some in win10, do I need to donate 2X for a licence or can one licence be used on both boots

Licensing system is based on fair use ;) no problems

Concerning auto opening a dash depending of the game it's possible, however I had some troubles with dash stitching in wpf version (on the most heavy dash) and I need to solve that first

Hope everyone had a good Christmas..

My static (for GT cars) screen taking shape now. I've made a bracket from 2 angle brackets/corner-brace and it clips on to the back of the wheel (T500) with a fold-back/bulldog clip :D

I'll need to raise the height of my monitor on the wall as the screen is obscuring the bottom. Also still have to make the LEDs/Arduino to go with it and order some shorter screws to make it look neater. I might spray the stand black eventually.

A couple of questions for @Wotever:
1) is it possible to change to different dashboards with a button/keyboard press in-game - i.e. without going back to the desktop/simhub screen?
2) I had an idea for a useful feature - ability to associate a specific led layout with a specific dash, so we can replicate patterns for different cars and have it automatically load when you load the appropriate dash. I guess this may be difficult if someone has multiple arduinos/led and/or multiple screens.

Hey @Wotever, is it possible to add such an export/import function also for the Modules/Screens? That would be great! :)

Edit: Or better, export a complex single module (lcd) to import it in another screen :whistling:
Hi @Wotever, i think you missed this , do you see a chance for this? Editing the json file is not so comfortable .

Btw: in the 2nd screen of mytech c127 dashboard the rear tyre temps are reversed ;)

Probably a stupid question, i know it uses the phones browser to display and receive, and i've read about it, but how does it actually get tehre. Is it over the ISP meaning it uses my mobile data?

Hi ! It requires to be over the same wifi than the computer,
Simply click here to show the instructions :

after the last update, now consumes too many fps and I had to uninstall it, a pity but too many resources are eaten:(:(:(:(:(

I tried your overlay and indeed , RF2 goes mad, I guess it's the new RF2 dx11 version which goes crazy. I tried your overlay in the same conditions with the dx9 version i did not had such behavior. However like I said a lot of times I don't encourage using fullscreen overlays,

I made the test to simply "split" your overlay in 4 smaller parts (like overlays were intended to be used) like that and performances are back, both game and dash are smooth even when running in wpf :

I join you the splitted version :

I will work soon on a better way to manage overlay in a "splitted" mode,
However in the wait there is a small trick which is really helping,
Save and restore layout will help you to manage your display layout :
