Ok, I will check it's not a setup which should make it crazy indeed. do not hesitate to send me log files after it happens (available in C:\Program Files (x86)\SimHub\Logs) it may give some additionnal clue. high CPU usage ofter means internal crash.

Yeah for sure when it will be time i will notify everyone , for now it's at beta state, but the new architecture already support multiple arduinos with motors (not tested yet) sadly a few things are lacking in the Simhub version like import/export, not supported effects per game indication (even if i added wheel lock/grip loss on rf1/2/ams) and per games settings I promised for the SimHub integration.
But I use it everyday at it works damn well :D

Regardless I have downloaded, installed and donated. Am I understanding that wheel lock works in RF2 via Simhub now?

Thanks for your donation ! Yes I don't know how I could have missed the data for so long but yes I've found the wheel slip info which is the base of the wheel lock / acceleration slide and it's available in the simhub version.

Awesome :) will be trying it out shortly, how does simhub compare in CPU load? I have just about maxed out the USB ports on my comp so also wondering if i would be better off rebuilding my existing Arduino Uno with the stackable motor boards or if there would not be much additional overhead to run a second USB Arduino Uno + 2 - 4 motors?

I am running a NL V3 motion platform plus 4 motors on the current Arduino Uno + Sim-Plicity OSW + HRS Button Box + HPP Pedals + VR so do you think I might be taxing the i5 a bit too much with the motion plus 2 x Arduino Uno's? Also wondering if you would advise setting the OSW to its own thread in RF2 in that context, would Simhub scale against multiple cores or just default to the main one? I think RF2 only takes advantage of two cores?

Simhub is hugely multithreaded, for instance each arduino will be driven in parallel on its own thread. However except some very rare cases , average consumption should not go above 3~5 % of CPU no matter how many arduinos you have. Multithreading is more a question of time (sending data through serial takes time) than a question of CPU . But in your case driving motors requires one Byte per motor which is quite anecdotic.

Awesome, thank you for the clarification, in that case I will scrounge together another cheap Arduino Uno and motor board + some more busted controllers!

Hello
I installed the version 6.1.5, and project cars 2 not work.
How do I do it?
thanks
Working fine on my end.
Have you read the instructions?

Bonjour,

For english peoples, sorry in advance, Just the once will not hurt, I will translate the other replies ;)

Hello !

I ordered one! In the unlikely event I cant get it to fit, I'll use it to make a static display for GT cars etc.
Screen arrived today. Looks pretty good. :D Initially had a problem where it had a green cast but I've troubleshooted this down to a faulty HDMI cable I was using. Have already tested with simhub running a dash on it and works flawlessly. I'll put a video up of it in action soon. Wheel kit should arrive tomorrow so hopefully screen will fit ok.

Quick test using my RSS Formula dash and mytec 2017....

Hello there!
I am a 22 year old software engineer from the Netherlands and I'm very interested in this project! I've written my own software to retrieve the telemetry from F1 2016 and send it to my arduino. This arduino then displays the correct RPM on 15 LED's(with each team their own correct style). Next to this I also hooked up a nextion display and 7 segment displays to emulate both new and old-school steering wheels.
I have two questions. The first one: is simhub compatible with nextions hooked up via arduino's other than the mini as described in the documentation? And how do you display laptimes correctly on the nextion? I get all sorts of artifacts. I'd love to get some professional assistance since this kind of programming is new to me and the documentation is pretty non-existant. Please do not fear that my program will be of any competition, since it is for private use only. And i'd be willing to "work" for your project if that was needed.
Thanks in advance!

Can you write a code in the nextion template ini files so that when a function is active the dash changes to a specific page thats been set up inside editor?

Hi ! For now it's not a totally integrated bahaviour, you need to write a custom event,(https://github.com/zegreatclan/Asse...cripting#exporting-event-trigger--exportevent) then use a event to page binding, however the display won't be "sticky" and you can only set a duration after the event is triggered.

Hi ! concerning nextion on arduino (combined with leds...), it's not done yet, the arduino micro at the time I started this project was not really cheap but it's really the best board in term of serial speed and serial reliability. So now that my sketch is working on a micro I will try make an AIO solution, but it may require time. However I got some smart people who told me and I agree that only leds would be far enough to 95% of the people, in this cas it could be faster.

Concerning the lap times i send them as text, Simhub is a big templating engine concerning nextion, it maps and format data. I've just reused some libraries and used the itead documentation.
