I don't know if only happens to me, but when I exit Richard Burns Rally, SimHub remains "connected" to game. Never go back to clock. I have to select other game and then display go off and on again with the clock.

I tried with 2 installations I have. Both with czech plugin, don't know if it's important.

Wotever updated SimHub, DIY Sim racing Dash with a new update entry:

Coffee and timing belt

Hi !

Fixed some stuff in the engine ..
  • Updated System Info library, should improve compatibility for grabbing system data on the recent mother boards and cpu
  • Added some missing raw data on IRacing plugin (ABS,TC ..)
  • Fixed some lags happening when license was applied.
  • Full review of cpu eating code :
    dNfsieB.gif
  • Running non game dependant plugins (gmail, shakeit ...) on separate threads to improve global...

Read the rest of this update entry...

Just downloaded the new version and CPU usage is much better!

Thanks for the support.

Seeing how good this is, I'm going to give shakeit a go too. Just ordered the parts and will rip apart a controller soon.

It seems not to be CPU problems.
ACS about 60% and SimHub never rise up 10% and uses about 180MB of memory.

The only plugins I have is joystick input and keyboard emulator.

I just see something. When I go out AC, clock was displayed but at one moment it freezed and didn't came back until I selected app in taskbar and passed a few seconds.

I'm going to try with old version

Took me the night :D, SimHub is doing so much stuff under the hood ! Really happy to know that it's better for you too !

Tested in AC and RBR and works very very fine. Perfect!

After read the info about RBR, I assume that is not possible to make something to detect max rpm of each car.
I thougt that RBR knew this data because in the game the LED lights work as is expected for each car.

Nice !

Concerning Rpm auto adjust sadly the plugin does not give enough data, simhub tries to autocalibrate rpms but the plugin seems to send fantasist data when not in race, i will look for doing a reset action at least, it will be useful for other games too

I don't change cars all the time and for me is not such a big deal if I can edit .txt "on the fly" while I'm playing. I'm thinking if it will be possible to have one screen in TM who displays actual rpm, then push the throttle, see max rpm and write it to its slot.
I'm going to play with SimHub and see if I can do it.

When I used x-sim the sketch had a button to read rpm and store maximum value. What I had to do is enter to run, push the button, push the throttle and done. Maybe this gives you an idea.

Hello,
first I want to thank you for your great work.
But I have a problem or I missed a important step...
I play ETS2. For that I want do use a I2C Display with an Arduino (UnoR3, Nano, Mirco, Leonardo, Mega [ I have all :D ].
What did I do so far:
-- plugins for ETS2 installed
-- wiring is correct (it doensn´t matter whether I use the analog output or the new SCL and SDA sockets)
-- Simhub is running, I created a screen for ETS2
-- templatefiller and the new .ino file on Arduino
When I run ETS2 Simhub preview shows me the data from the game.
But on the display is nothing shown.
Is there something that I forgot? Maybe in the .ino file? If so is there a fully configurated .ino for I2C display (and MAX7219 also)
Thanks for your help. (sry for bad english)

Hi it seems that the exact model of LCD I linked in the description do not use anymore the same chips (confirmed yesterday by a very patient SimHub user ;) )

Try replacing the I2C lcd library (delete the old LiquidCrystal_I2C folder from arduino) and try this one :

https://github.com/marcoschwartz/LiquidCrystal_I2C or this one https://codeload.github.com/marcoschwartz/LiquidCrystal_I2C/zip/master

Also trying this 0x27 address instead of the 0x3f address should help

Keep me in touch if it solved your problem.

Nicolas

Edit : I've added these instructions to a new FAQ section of the main post, I will try to fill it progressively.

I'm trying to do a screen to see actual rpm but doesn't work.
When I push to see next screens, I see twice MainScreen (the second screen does nothing, all data frozen) and then passes to CurrentLap.
What I'm doing wrong?

I guess that you should remove the line returns, it's intended for LCD display.

Edit : for multiple display you have to choose your target module on the left of the screen.

Done but nothing.
Don't know exactly what you mean by "to choose your target module on the left". Every screen has selected the first module on the left and activated "in game" option.

I closed/opened SimHub after did it but nothing.

Ah ! Sorry, I misunderstood your problem, i thought you were trying to display data on a second module, could you send me the file "SerialDashPlugin.json" located inside the folder "PluginsData\Common" ? Your screen definition looks ok.

I changed the library. The examples delivered with library are working.
But with Simhub the display stays empty.
(0x3f is the right adress for my display)
