If I add more wear and tear, the AI will come in too many times and it almost feels cheating to us as we would overtake the AI in the pits. You can add a little wear, and keep testing. Here you can see how many stops the teams made in reality: https://www.motorsport.com/f1/results/2022/bahrain-gp-538697/ I am looking for the same thing.
In Mexico, real race... 15 teams made a single stop and three teams 2. I always play races at 100% duration because they are very fun and real ;).

Edit: Maybe if I reduce the wear (combined with my mod) we will get similar or equal parries to the real ones. Feel free to comment what you see appropriate, and thus, I will be able to improve the experience more :)

This race was with the base mod, i didnt change the tire wear at all. They still are coming in more than they need to.
With my mod, do they enter make the same stops?

yea maybe reducing tire wear would fix it, cuz i started a 100% race at jeddah, and all of the AI started on softs, so I am pretty sure they were going for a 2 stop, even though the 1 stop was very possible, like in real life.

Edit: Again though, this was without a practice session, I'll do a full race weekend and see how the AI does their strategy.

There is something that I do know, and that is that unfortunately the AI acts very strangely in the changes of attrition rates. Anyway, I'm also testing to see how it goes (I would like the AI to have the same stops as in reality). That's what I'm looking for. Friend... with my Mod, after 50% wear, be careful xD.

Edit:
Friend I had not realized that the game in many races uses more compound in a forced way than in reality. In reality, two compounds were used in Saudi Arabia: Medium and Hard. Three compounds are used in the game: Soft, Medium and Hard. So I will adjust the Mod as I play and enjoy it that way.

The AI aren't forced to use a certain tire. A previous tire wear mod I used increased the wear by 35%,, and the puncture terriory to 90%. On that mod, in a 100% race, Jeddah was indeed a one stop, Mediums to Hards.

I'm confused... if I increase the wear, the AI instead of 2 parries would make 3 and even 4 (I'm sure). However in F2 it is a delight. They enter the same times as in reality. Increase wear and grip by % and it feels great. In Jeddah, race to 100% 100 in F1 come out with red, and enter to change to yellow and white.

Sorry if I'm being confusing.

I am talking about a standalone mod, different from yours, that changes the wear through the team xml's. When they do it this way, (35% more wear, 90% puncture territory), the ai do attempt the one stop.

I brought that up to say that there is no mandatory strategy that the AI have to attempt, It just depends on the wear and their lap times.

Maybe increasing the puncture territory on your mod will incentivize the AI to stay out longer because they won't be at a risk of getting lose to puncture territory? Cuz thats the only issue with your mod is that it's pretty easy to out strategize the other teams'. Other than that the car feels good to drive and you can really feel a difference in the tires.

So I found out something interesting. Its known on the F1 game, that tire temps do not really affect the AIs pace. However I wanted to know if their increased tire temps, resulted in them incurring more tire wear.

I ran a few tests and I think i confirmed that to be the case. While running your mod and turning the "UpgradeTempWear" down to 75% (0.75), the Ai were able to run stints as long as the player. However, this does affect the player temps as well, so I had to increase the tire pressures by at least 2 clicks to keep them in the optimum window.

With this modification, in my opinion, perfects your mod to run pretty close to real life.

The last update completely broke the game...
Hard compound is faster than Medium compound by 1 second per lap.
In addition, AI chooses crazy strategies. At 100% distance, AI chooses 2-3 segments on Soft or Medium compounds for 4-6 laps, the rest of the distance AI rides on Hard compound.
It is difficult to communicate with the translator. I only speak Spanish. My mod does not modify the grip of the general compound, but the grip according to the percentage of wear. Up to 50% or so, the grip is about the same as Codies'... but from there, things get interesting. I personally really like how it feels compared to default.

My native language is Russian... I can immediately translate into Spanish using Google Translate.:):) But it can be so crazy.
The January update worked fine, there were no such problems. In addition to this file, this patch did not change anything.
By the way, Intermediate compound is generally hell. I lose to computer opponents by 3-4 seconds per lap. It didn't exist before the last update either.

In this latest version, change the temperature, the grip of the tire from dry in rain (less grip). Hard tires have less grip but are more constant. That was the intention.

I understand that this was not your intention.
I just described my experience of the game after updating this mod.
It has not yet been possible to test the Rain composition.
For now, I will have to return to the previous version of the mod.
