Did you run any practice or qualy session before the race? Usually the AI needs a few laps in a practice session to get an correct amount for the race.
you could be right, i forgot to include the ideal line file in the data folder, i believe this is what the AI uses to calculate fuel, quick fix if you want to try yourself, copy the fastlane.AI file from the ai folder for each layout and paste it in the data folder and rename ideal_lineAh, ok. Edit: I tried now Ginetta + Mugello (official) (always Quick Race, 5 laps) and I haven't had problems.

doesn't AC have no ground collision detection above 45° angles? Sounds like this is an issue here.Sounds more like a car thing than a track thing to me.
Yes as Jim stated above.. that's most likely the reason. Sorry that was my mistake I forgot to add the ideal_line files to the data folders after making the new AI lines.will make sure to add them into the next update when i have done the 3d grass
here is a fix in the meantime for those that need it. Just extract to the AC folder directory

I'm searching for an iracing alternative (that i loved but money is money lol).
So at least 5 or 6 good tracks, trucks, nascar and indycar ).

Fix hole in mesh pit exit (oval layout)
Added missing wall collision for banked section (oval layout)
Added ideal_line files for AI
Add optional 3dgrass.kn5.. delete it if you don't want it
