AC CLASSIC CAR FAT-ALFIE CHAMPIONSHIP 2022

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
No Han, i did not beat your time. I don,t know where you got that from yet  I did turn the diff power down quite low which has helped plus just before i was called (yelled) at to do something useful i turned down the coast which makes it corner a little tighter. Now you can tell me your setup secrets? Sorry, i did not quite hear that? :roflmao:
Diff power down, Diff coast up
Brake Bias up (more front tyres) and ARB rear down.

Hi.
May I gert the pass for next race please.
Hi Victor,

You can't sign up for one race. It's for the whole championship.
Now you can register for that but I saw in your history on S.GP that most of the events you didn't show up and in others that you quit during.
I don't want participants that aren't committed to these events thus taking a place of someone who is.

So please look at the scheduled events (6) and decide if you want and can finish in at least 5 of them.

If so, please post here again and I will send you the password.

If you like your long German road tracks (Han @HF2000, @stigs2cousin) then take a look at this.

It doesn't have the flow of a Fat Alfie circuit but is still a challenging drive with some unexpected 90 degree junctions to catch you out. The section around the castle is very tight so best to try it in something small and not too powerful like the Honda S800.

Probably not suitable for racing but considering the amount of time that goes into these, a pretty impressive piece of work.

This one really strikes a mark with me, it´s like driving home from the Nordschleife.

Thank you for pointing that out to us.

I gave it a go for a few laps in the hairdresser and it's great (the track, not the car)!

I found it on maps. Damn, I was quite close to it on my holiday.

I tried it with the historic Mini Cooper with AI...........mayhem at the first 90 left:roflmao::roflmao:, much more civilised with the Ford Escort RS.
My first thoughts were that it was a bit narrow for racing but while it is a bit tight it can be done with well behaved AI if you know where I can find some!! :D

I saw on Discord that another guy has requested to have it available on S.GP.
Do you think it's suitable for the Abarth/Mazda events?

Seems to run OK with 30 cars set on just over the hour run time.
Pitstops work
My ambition exceeded my talent!
It was a bit like Dirt Rally meets Whacky races in the first section around the castle but things settled down after then. I wanted pace notes to start with and a pacemaker by the time I went off the side of the mountain and ended up in a river! (By the way, the Scandinavian flick doesn't work on the Abarth! ). If you go off the mountain you are not coming back!

At least my Abarth didn't look as secondhand as Abarth number 500................................
Carsten, do you know who drives this? :D

I think we need to run a test event and maybe Carsten and some more drivers test a race with AI. It is a very tricky circuit.

Of course I do.:O_o:

The not so honorable Han Masi, our favorite race director.

(Who in spite of all his shenanigans still rules the Racing Club which we all are gratefull for)

About the race, I´m not so shure that is a sound (sane) idea.
But i´ll give it a try when I find the time.

MFG Carsten

Welcome to the RD Racing Club.

In 2021 we did with great succes a championship on all beautiful tracks of @Fat-Alfie (David Pemberton) with as a premiere Bremgarten circuit in Switzerland.
This year we're doing it again with this time the new Battenbergring (Germany) as additional track.
This are the six events:

  • Thomson Road (Singapore, 4,9km)
  • Bremgarten (Switzerland, 7,3km )
  • Deutschlandring (Germany, 10km)
  • Feldbergring (Germany, 11,4km)
  • Battenbergring (Germany, 12,5km)
  • Fonteny (France, 25km)
For those unfamiliar with Fat-Alfie tracks, they have a great flow along with very different sectors, which makes it challenging to race, but also to strike a good balance between top speed and agility in your setup.

The tracks excel in great detail from a historical perspective, making it equally a pleasure to just drive without racing and look at the scenery.

Championship details:

  • Cars:
    • Ferrari 250 GTO
    • TVR Griffith 200
  • Day: Tuesday, every two weeks
  • 60 min practice, 20 min qualify, 60 min race
  • Improving track conditions (96% - 100%)
  • Mandatory pitstop (at least 1 liter of fuel)
  • Fuel usage 100%
  • Damage 10%
  • Tyre wear 100%
  • Best 5 races count for the standings.
  • Practice server will be available during the week of the event.
  • Further details such as scoring rules and track conditions can be found on the Championship S.GP page
  • For each event, a thread will be posted as usual as a reminder and for the latest information.
