ACC Release 5 real vs virtual 7.jpg

The latest preview images of the upcoming Zolder Circuit for Assetto Corsa Competizione showcase stunning attention to detail.

Assetto Corsa Competizione is due the update treatment next week, and with it comes a laserscanned version of the Belgian Zolder Circuit - arguably one of the most historically significant permanent racing venues in the region, and a classic drivers favourite across numerous disciplines of racing categories throughout the world.

Set to make a first appearance in the Assetto Corsa franchise as official first party content, the new virtual Zolder Circuit will of course benefit from laserscan technology, joining the already released and highly detailed versions of the Nürburgring, Misano, Paul Ricard and Hungaroring currently available at 'release 4' stage of the Assetto Corsa Competizione development lifecycle.

With patch day anticipation building amongst the community, Kunos Simulazioni have taken to social media to post some very interesting comparison shots of the simulation vs real world location - images that really do showcase the incredible attention to detail Kunos have lavished on this exceptional racing venue.

Can you post any performance numbers or is this just your opinion? About every benchmark site in the universe shows a gain in FPS going from GTX 1080 to RTX 2080. If you don't see a gain in games like ACC, it's likely due to a CPU limit.
only history i have is gtx1080ti v rtx2080
bench using performance test v 9

gpu rtx 2080 3d graphics mark result 13770
gpu gtx 1080 ti 3d graphics mark result 14364

2d graphics rtx2080 result 801

2d gtx 1080 ti result 888

UserBenchmarks: Game 135%, Desk 132%, Work 121%
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700 - 107.5%
GPU: Nvidia RTX 2080 - 165.3%
SSD: SSD PLUS 480GB - 95.7%
SSD: Samsung 960 Evo NVMe PCIe M.2 250GB - 222%
HDD: Seagate Desktop SSHD 2TB - 53.7%
RAM: Unknown BLS8G4D240FSE.16FBD2 859B BLS8G4D240FSE.16FBD 16GB - 79.9%
MBD: MSI Z370 GAMING PLUS (MS-7B61)

Martini logo has been replaced by ACC one, so it doesn't reflect real life, so ACC is not a real sim

...just kidding, so fun to troll the trolls :D

Awesome work Kunos, certainly the best looking zolder track I have ever seen in a sim, keep up your nice work ;)

This AC or ACC, because if its AC I am destroying those FPS with my 1070 ?
not on triple screens though :p

so i had the gtx1080 then got the rtx2080 which was overall 10 to 15%faster than the gtx1080 but major issues with the nvidia mixed screen flickering desease
then as mentioned i bought a gtx1080ti and at the same time awaiting the to return the dodgy RTX2080 i ran both cards in assetto corsa and the results were GTX1080TI was overall 10 to 15% faster than the RTX2080

Seems strange listening to these issues, in which I never experienced before myself,
I just ask myself 1 question,
why on earth would you want a sim setup with 3 different screens ?
its not the budget or everyone complaining wouldnt be buying 1200$ graphics cards,
its like buying a brand new porsche to me and running with 4 totally differnt tyre brands one each wheel then complaining to porsche saying your loosing traction on one corner,
anyways its a free world, but like I say its strange.

I don't know how much editing Kunos does on these screenshots, but with a RTX 2080ti it doesn't look this good on my 1440p monitor.

Those are 4K screenshots. It looks far better than 1440p, antialiasing has huge effect into how convincing things look (not just in 4K screen, but even in small images like this with loads of SSAA).. not just in ACC but any game

No 4K doesn't run, but I heavily doubt they have done any other editing. What reasonable editing could you even do, to make them look "more real"? It's just heavy SSAA, good angle and good shot

Wife got me a G29 last year for my birthday but no space to use it really,
specially sat in max most the day making 3d, you need an afternoon to plug it in and play about with it and the settings, not ideal for 30-40 minutes messing about. :)
You should spend this time to fully enjoy your masterpieces. After the first setup of the wheel you've just 2min to install it :)
And it's nowhere the same experience with a gamepad ;)

HERS WHY two viewsonics and the original aoc in the centre

nowt strange about it i started with 1 aoc monitor on my rig 32 inch and one 56 inch monitor in my lab running off my gtx1070 then a month later a gtx1080 then LATER decided to go triple screens on rig and still had 56 inch in lab
i then bought two matching 32 inch viewsonics same as my original aoc 32 inch and the RTX2080 but then was told by nvidia with the rtx the triples have to be the same if i wanted the lab monitor on i would have to turn off the triples to do so!!
Now I have the gtx1080ti any monitor combination is successful
NO RTX MIXED MONITOR FLICKERING DISEASE
What would you do ??
four 56 inch screens or four 32 inch monitors just to cater for the RTX CARDS ?
or like me get rid of RTX till nvidia sort thier mess out
old aoc in centre two viewsonics

img_20180906_191833__1536259292_21155-jpg.268501

now with 3 viewsonics

and a 56 in me lab

I was trying to refrain myself for getting into this again, BUT, it is a free world with free choices. I had the opportunity of getting a wheel but chose to stay with XBox one controller. I enjoy it, It gives me the use of my PC for other than just games.

Feel free to use a wheel by all means, but just let others who enjoy other than a wheel, their enjoyment. We all have different views and I say hurray for that.

Of course :) My comment should be nowhere near to an offense or any kind of you've to do it ;)

Kunos better add native triplescreen and functional VR before people lose interest. Additionally the broken multiplayer (d-sync, race logic and crashes) must be addressed. Also the frozen servers (which makes your game crash), pixelated mirrors, poor anti-aliasing, low-res textures and aggressive lods must be fixed, but I'm sure they will find an excuse to brush it off and put the blame on Epic Games ("it's nothing we can do about it, because it's not our engine..."; as they put it in your 1st acc interview @ 28:50) and Unreal Engine.
