2022 Tuatara (named for an Australian lizard), twin-turbo V8, 1300hp on 91 octane gas, 1700hp on methanol, 7 speed gearbox, drag coefficient 0.27; hoping for top speed of 300+mph, it did 295mph May 25.
1946 Cadillac Fleetwood Series 75, first postwar car from Cadillac; three versions made: seven passenger sedan, nine passenger sedan, and a two door coupe hardtop or convertible. All three versions total about 700 made, price around $4500.
In 1980 a friend sold me one of these, all original, 42k miles, for $3600. Researching it I found it was one of two cars ordered by the city of Atlanta for Mayor Heartsfield; replaced by a '48 model and relegated to the city motor pool for use as a limousine, auctioned off around 1954 (by which time it was a huge dowdy antiquated lead sled). My friends referred to it as the "gangster car"; I put about 2000 miles on it over the next year then drove it to Atlanta and donated it to the Historical Society (and took a bus home, lol).
These photos of an identical car in a museum somewhere (this one has a retrofitted airconditioner under the dash).
