Austin Formula One Grand Prix

Here´s a great picture showing just how steep the hill is to T1.
Almost like a wall.

Good track, no doubt. (although some of the corners are rip-offs)
Do you think that the fact that F1 is going back to the usa is why Codemasters have chosen to let's say simplify the game a little bit?

If so, will we be able to race without a green racing line? :(

Simplify? It´s as simplified as it can get. It´s an arcade game 100%.
It has the physics model of Mario Kart.

Turn 1 seems very, very interesting. Big climb and then dead spot to turn into a corner, so it will be hard to get it right. That high speed chicanes seems interesting as well. I only don't like very much some slow corners in the last sectors.

Charlie Whiting is in USA now as well to inspect the track.

Edit: And it´s been given the green light now. No surprise.

Charlie Whiting, FIA Race Director and Safety Delegate, has completed the last inspection of Circuit of The Americas before the 2012 FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX™.

During his visit, Whiting made that the Circuit of The Americas is up to the FIA standards necessary to host a Formula 1™ race this coming November. The inspection focuses on safety and technical aspects that the FIA require to host a Grand Prix event. After a two hour inspection the FIA Safety Delegate was happy with the construction progress and the overall quality of the track.

"The track design is fantastic, the quality of the workmanship is excellent and I have no concerns at all. This will be a very unique Grand Prix, a lot of types of corners that will provide a lot of overtaking opportunities. " Whiting mentioned after the inspection was over.

The Circuit of the Americas in Austin,TX has been given the final approval by the FIA necessary in order to host the US Grand Prix in November. Really great to see that it has reached it's completion, especially considering that it was possible for it to break apart during that period of time where the contracts where in dispute and work was stopped.

Charlie Whiting was down at the track for the final inspection and seems very excited to see all the F1 drivers take to the track come November.

FIA safety delegate Charlie Whiting has given the Circuit of the Americas his approval during his final track inspection before the US Grand Prix on November 18.
Whiting visited the circuit to ensure it is race-ready and came away from the visit enthused by the layout and quality of the track. After walking the 3.4-mile circuit and inspecting everything from kerbs to the crash barriers, Whiting passed the circuit with the necessary Grade 1 classification required for a Formula One race.
