So, I'm home from work, The update download says 37 minutes until completion, I revise my plan, instead of going back to work I'll wait out the download and take her for a spin.

Not 5 minutes later the god damn company director rings me, tells me production has halted on one of our major sites (non-production costs 55 grand an hour) until they can confirm the correct revision of construction plans they are working from, He tells me to go into his office and the plans he was working on are laid out on his desk, all I have to do is tell him the issue date and number...

ah, Sorry boss, I'm not actually in the office,...yeah...I'm actually at home at the moment, You see their is the sweet racing game that came out today...and uh...yeah...

Only had time for a short boot up yesterday. Maybe a noob question: Is there away to assign other buttons to things like traction control boost increase etc. as they dont show up in the ingame configuration :(
Or do I have to program an autohotkey script as a work around (I want to avoid that)

yes its easy
go to options ,controls , and pick the catagory SECUNDARY
there you can click the mouse on what needs to be programmed ,and then press the button you want to have assigned to that.

Let me put it this way, CEO visit (SnP 500 company), guess who is working from home today :D

I just had enough time to test with xbox controller meeeeeeeh :'(

I see lot of people excited about FFB changes but I couldn't experience this. Any feedback on that?

Also it looks much nicer, but its more blurry ! Aynone has a workaround?
to make it less blurry
try set world detail to minimum ,anisotropic filtering 8x ,and anti aliasing 4x

have been playing with all combinations last hours, and these gave the brightest picture
oh and post processing off.

I'm surprised they still haven't added a race weekend longer than 10 laps. This is supposed to be a release candidate, but it doesn't seem finished yet to me.

agree .. I was expecting something little bit more finished .. this seems to be very beta in all departments .. I guess it is gonna be one of those WIP until Not Supported :) but still

AUDIO: not as good as it could be and bugged right now. I really like external sound on replay cameras 5,6,7 on some cars (Lotus 98T f.e.)

FFB: kind of ok, missing slider for wheel weight or at least implementation of different wheel ressistance in differend speed. One of best in interpreting weight transfers.

GRAPHICS: as a GSCE and GTR Evo guy I don`t have any problems here .. I don`t fancy alomost any of those PP filters though ..

DAMAGE: meh ..

PHYSICS: hard to say .. from all sims I have it is probably easiest one to drive but without feeling that it is wrong ..and that is good I guess :)

CONTROLS: still not happy with mapping my buttons (POV not working, cant assign both paddles and seq.shiffter to shifting)

CONTENT: good, would like to have more cars in same class to build up more complete grid but that will be here soonish .. Tracks, you can never have enough tracks :) But content is well made and diverse.

FEEL: from my most played sims it is on last place in regards of feel .. lacking feel of speed (same FOV and camera settings as in other ones), everything feels like there is something between me and the car

I like the game but at this mmnt it is almost only about hotlaps for me ..

Sorry about all that complaining, lets play :)

Ouvert's post pretty much sums AC up for me too. I'm really pleased for all you people that like it and have put many hours into this game and it's maybe just me but I'm not really getting it. I want to really like it and play it a lot but............................................I've had another hour just now and I've had enough. What am I missing here people? It's not that I don't like it but.......................................... I know there's buts here and there but I don't know what to say other than I'm not getting it lol! it's all a bit but but but

Agree with Ouvert as well. Been a while since I fired up AC after being totally shocked that V1.00 was released. I was expecting big things. My main concern/points are:

Most of the Cars are too easy to drive, after a bit of testing on the new cars I took the 98T round spa for a run. Now I had beer by this point boost at 80% and without really trying I got it round the lap(s) with out much bother, without any setup changes or really concentrating that hard. That to me is not simulating driving this car. Going through eau rouge in this beast after 3 beers should be terrifying, unfortunately it was a doddle.

This issue takes away from the immersion massively for me. It feels like a game not a simulation of driving. After driving the NSX in RF2 a lot recently the feel just does not compare. I would go as far to say it reminds me a lot of the Forza.

Im a bit concerned that real life GT3 cars have to brake and downshift (2 gears in race trim from the on board laps and sounds - 4th gear corner) for Eau Rouge..... And no matter what fuel load/tyre combo last night i was going flat through there. Not even a lift most times.
