Kunos Simulazioni, by way of Licensing Project Manager Marco Massarutto, have been teasing some exciting looking footage of four new cars due to be released for Assetto Corsa before the end of August.

The stunning Praga R1, Ferrari 488 GTB and Ferrari FXX K will form part of a new DLC package, Tripl3, to be released alongside the game update to version 1.8. As part of the new update, Kunos will also be making available the Audi A1 S1 Quattro as a free addition to the sim.

All four cars have previously been revealed by the studio as part of their recent summer webcast, however the new preview images and videos present the first opportunity for fans to really have a close look at the latest Kunos offering. In particular the Praga R1 looks like an interesting, and little known choice to bring into Assetto Corsa.

Version 1.8 has promised further development of the core game "under the hood", with possible FPS improvements currently going through testing with a view to being rolled out as part of the 1.8 release. As previewed earlier, version 1.8 will also bring some visual improvements to Assetto Corsa, with good progress having be made with the games reflection properties and antialiasing results. Coupled with the potential FPS improvements and further expansion to the number of cars running v10 tyres, 1.8 could very well become one of the more impressive releases from the studio in recent times.

Assetto Corsa is currently available for PC via the Steam Network. Console editions of the game are due to be released at the end out August.

The in game videos of the Ferrari FXX K, Praga R1, Ferrari 488 GTB and the Audi A1 S1 Quattro can be viewed on the Facebook page of Kunos Simulazioni's Marco Massarutto - HERE.

How so?

AC + DLC 1,2,3 on steam is $29.99.
DLC 4 - $4.99
DLC 5 - $7.99
Total=$42

So Porsche DLC 6,7,8 will be $9.99 each for PC if you subtract DLC 4 and 5 from console season pass.

PS4/XboxOne + DLC 1,2,3 is $69.99
DLC 4,5 plus DLC 6,7,8 is $44.99
Total=$115

edit: I know this post will cause controversy, how everything AC team releases is worth every penny etc. I am more worried that season pass is coming for steam as well.

Also pricing for console is probably more what 505 games wants etc I am aware of the huge costs compared to steam etc.

Sorry, not following the console math, but I doubt they'll charge a premium to prepurchase upcoming DLCs on Steam. Though I expect there will be many people very unhappy either way. SEASON PASS BAD after all.

That's during a 50% off steam sale, $105 vs. $115 if you compare it at a non-sale prices.

10 different Porsches per DLC is a step up content-wise from the current $10 packs (average 7 cars each) so it seems reasonable that it would be $12 or more bought individually.

Kunos said there will be 24 Porsches, 3 will be free(so Porsche can shove their Panameras and Macans down our throats), which leaves us with 21/3=7.

Not exactly what I meant.

In one of Stefanos stream (I think it was the one with Aris) he (they) talked about V10 and that the 488GT3 was the only Red Pack car with V7 because all GT3 cars should have the same tires.

But it also sounded like the GT3 cars would be the the next cars to be updated with V10.

"General improvements on V10 tyres for rolling resistance, flex, pressures and more."

Hopefully this is aimed at the F1 tires.

Apparently they don't want to have some GT3s on 7, some on 10.

The number of GT3s is so large it's starting to harm then lol.
Generation differences too. I wouldn't want a 4 year old car to be as good as the current gen (cars change and so do tyres).
