Kunos Simulazioni, by way of Licensing Project Manager Marco Massarutto, have been teasing some exciting looking footage of four new cars due to be released for Assetto Corsa before the end of August.

The stunning Praga R1, Ferrari 488 GTB and Ferrari FXX K will form part of a new DLC package, Tripl3, to be released alongside the game update to version 1.8. As part of the new update, Kunos will also be making available the Audi A1 S1 Quattro as a free addition to the sim.

All four cars have previously been revealed by the studio as part of their recent summer webcast, however the new preview images and videos present the first opportunity for fans to really have a close look at the latest Kunos offering. In particular the Praga R1 looks like an interesting, and little known choice to bring into Assetto Corsa.

Version 1.8 has promised further development of the core game "under the hood", with possible FPS improvements currently going through testing with a view to being rolled out as part of the 1.8 release. As previewed earlier, version 1.8 will also bring some visual improvements to Assetto Corsa, with good progress having be made with the games reflection properties and antialiasing results. Coupled with the potential FPS improvements and further expansion to the number of cars running v10 tyres, 1.8 could very well become one of the more impressive releases from the studio in recent times.

Assetto Corsa is currently available for PC via the Steam Network. Console editions of the game are due to be released at the end out August.

The in game videos of the Ferrari FXX K, Praga R1, Ferrari 488 GTB and the Audi A1 S1 Quattro can be viewed on the Facebook page of Kunos Simulazioni's Marco Massarutto - HERE.

From a newcomer's point of view the DLCs might look scary and pricey for the amount of DLCs released, BUT for me, playing since early access (and even tech preview) it doesn't. I always look forward to new content/improvements. Yes, it would be awesome if DLC and non-DLC players could play together, that would IMO solve all criticism. However this isn't EA's pay 5€ for a gun or Milestone's 20 day one DLC packs (might be exaggerating a bit but you get the point). These DLCs aren't "included on the disc and need to be unlocked", but continuous development. This is what rF2 would need if it wanted more playtime from me.

Yes the 488 and FXX K should be free or should have been part of the red pack. I just wonder, will we have to pay now for each new content? Free content like Audi S1, Maserati Levante,....who cares? I say these are just sweetners, not sure if the Monza special is part of the update or DLC?

That is true but let's just keep it all reasonable....dividing the Porsches in 3 packs is a bit over commercialising. 3×€10 > 1×€20 (just figure of speech)....if I understood this correctly that the Porsche pack comes in 3 DLC's? From my end though they have and will have received my payments for all DLC packs, no worries.
In the stream on youtube they talked about season pass method for Porsche dlcs. They might be available to purchase individually, but, although not that familiar with season pass, it could be more beneficial than buying all dlcs separately.

FXX K really excited for it.

Other is the old school Monza, so glad it's recreated with da lazers.

I like the quality of the content now, and I've made peace with what AC is, granted I'm not as active anymore due to life. However the season is ramping up.

Excited for this, and who knows.... maybe a sprinkle of F50 (maybe the GT), maybe a F355 (maybe a Challenge), or a Diablo (maybe an SE30 Jota) ....

Glad to see the these cars come into the game, though it does seem a bit underwhelming from outside perspective if this pack doesn't included a circuit as most of Assetto Corsa's previous DLC have it would be disappointing not to see a new circuit or at least a another version of current track like the before mentioned, Monza Oval or Sliverstone Classic Circuit both of which I adore but I still am excited for more developments coming out of Kunos and furthering an already amazing racing sim.

Can't really agree with a lot of the comments here.

I love those free editions, even if they are just street cars.
So what?

Remember last year's free car in summer? No?
>> Road going Audi R8 V10 .. epic car.

Then the Maserati lately was sweet too. Something very different.

The prize tag of the DLC is sooo small compared to what you need to pay for other games (not just talking racing sims here now) and for those games the DLC is usually already in the making before the v1 ships. So core developement often ends after shipping the main game. Here in AC that's not the case, the game's still being polished and improved. So €5 - €10 every 3-4 months is not much. Don't tell me it is. Every pack of cigarettes costs more in western Europe nowadays.

I can't wait for the FXX K.
Wasn't really a big fan of the road going hypercars. They were fun but not really racey.
This will finally bring some hypercar power to the track ...yes okay, I know we have the amazing Zonda R or the kinda bulky 599 but still, this will change things even more I'm sure.

I don't smoke my friend :p
Little calculation....
Early Access €30 + DP 1 €10 + DP 2 €8 + DP 3 €8 +RP €10 = €66 for me.
Now : game + DP 1-3 = €55 + RP €10 = €65....
WELL I'LL BE DAMNED!! I have supported this game throughout their development and now it seems I have payed ONE symbolic euro more than available now all packs included. With certain 3 DLC's to come and some micro DLC's it will hit €100 by the end of the year. You can say what you want dear friend, that is starting to count for a single unfinished game. Content wise it will never be finished by the way, don't kid yourselves. Still, it's not because I speak my mind openly about this market strategy it means they won't receive my appreciation or money for all future development....but handing out sweets like a single car or track and then merchandising all other content is getting a bit.....milky and unfortunate this is the trend of modern game fare. But hey what the heck, I'm an addict and I want it all.:inlove:

Ok, by that logic, any game that has DLC is unfinished? Don't most games feature DLC anymore? So most games are unfinished and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. I guess AC will never be finished until every car/track throughout history is added? Ok.

console release will have silverstone historic but pc will have too wait

I meant we will have to buy DLC's into eternity with this strategy....can not be the meaning of a game. Did someone put the A in i Racing? And pls leave the denegrating tone.

Yeah, that's the way games are now, has been like that for a while now. We can complain about it or just get on with things. Personally, I'd rather spend my energy racing than complaining. I'm just thankful that Kunos DLC cars are only about $1 each instead of $50 for one plane like FSX.

Yeah in the end, all complains mean nothing because well, we keep buying it cause the quality is so damn good. I have to admit, I can not not buy it. Sorry for being a whatever.

my mistake, was the facebook post mentioning historic silverstone, guess just because it is an old track lol, it has monza 66 tho which we should be getting soon on pc :)

Marco stressed in latest LWTCHI stream, that Tripl3 Pack will not cost much, that community will be "very happy about the price". And we get two tracks this year for free (historic Monza & Silverstone) which both have cost them workhours. Also 3 Porsches will be free, Maserati Levante was free, now one free Audi. Quattro and R8 Plus were already free. Corvette C7 was free, Mustang 2015 was free, CTR Yellowbird, GT86... seriously, some people will never be happy. AC isn't even full priced game in Steam, never was.

You have expensive gaming PCs and wheels (hopefully) and complain about few euros, get a grip.
