does the steam means no retail? or all versions will require steam?

It depends what the developer chooses , The developer can decide for it to be steam only , to be steam and boxed separate or mandatory steam even with the boxed copy.

For example ARMA2 works totally independent from steam , but can also be bought as a steam version but you cannot register the boxed copy as a steam game Where as GTR evo allowed users to register the boxed version as a steam game if they wanted to.

I agree with you 100%! I understand why it's mandatory for press to get early access of the full game before it's launch, but doing so for a "Tech Preview" just makes no sense to me...

So much impatience, hatred and demands over the release of the Tech Preview. Some people really sound angry in their posts. Flabbergasting. I'm seriously wondering if there are no other things in your lives that you are concerned about .

They said the Tech Preview would be released in February. Guess what, it's february 21st today. So they have 8 more days.

I'm sure hell breaks loose if they release the TP and activationsserver fails instantly. If that happens (not unthinkable), please come here and see the rants: 'Oh my god, they can't even properly release a tech preview, what about the full game? Kunos Sucks! I will never buy the game!' - Those are the things you will read, seriously.

So... take a chill pill, enjoy your life, have a good dinner, do some yoga, watch sesame street and one day, you visit this forum and you will find out the TP is released. A pleasant and happy surprise. The glass is half full guys. Surely with AC! .

Yeah well the Techdemo has to be activated with you nKpro license so this is definitely something which relies on some Kunos servers and is not solved with a simply torrent download... And it is probably not a 5min job...
