The bonus is that when the game is released you will be able to. This is just the tech demo, designed for players to be sure that the sim will run on their hardware, mainly.

Let's not forget this is not even a demo. Think aboit how cool it is to see AC running on your system for the first time!

Especially with closed cockpitcars we can enjoy the lightning a bit more. I'm also sure it's a bit harder on our systems

Abarth 500 is a race car and a great car, very fun to drive (try it on NetKarPro) : the most important for me is the pleasure of driving and not just speed; that's why I love true sim and not arcade.

I dont like it either cause i have many km's with Abarth in netkar but i dont have a problem cause the point is to find bugs/help and not enjoyment..
If i was Kunos i would do the same..

On the other hand i will be able to compare the abarth from netkar with abarth from AC and see how physics work in AC and how better they got (which for me is the most importnat and im dying to feel those physics and i will have a reference with Abarth) and also i will have earlier access to AC than others so im pleased

I quite agree, I hate the Abarth, I hate FWD cars in real life, let alone in a sim.

But I do understand the point of a tech demo is not to provide everyone with their favourite car, but rather to provide everyone with the chance to test the sim on their system to make sure it will work.

Of course, they could please everyone by releasing a tech demo that is, in fact, the complete game, for free. That would be nice eh!

Vaggelis is right though, it does give everyone a good chance to compare against nKPro. And as the tech demo is one car and one track, I can't see that people are going to be driving it for hours and hours.
