Obviously you cannot really evaluate sound though such a bad recording but I still think its likely the sounds in this game will probably be quite pore on the grand scheme of things.

Simon, he knows that and I think he just want to push the developpers (ISI, KS, SMS, etc..) into hard work making contructive critics. At least thats what I understand from this and other replys from GamerMuscle.

Agree....It sounds like a good constructive criticism.
For me sounds fairly good but for those who work with sounds or understand them better than the majority, will analyze it in a different way.;)

right, i felt like i had to comment on this video. Sounds aside, just dealing purely in terms of driving and physics, it looks Absolutely Incredible, a world apart from any of the driving dynamics of rfactor or iracing.

The way he is balancing the car on oversteer, controlling the skid, playing with it, being able to play with the angle of the car, the way the car understeers and hes dialling it out - everything about the way its driving screams of realism and FUN.

the way he is able to drive the car, looks exactly like all the Tiff Needell videos you see of him throwing supercars sideways, or just youtube any video with Chris Harris

that ability of the game to allow the driver to utilise some skill and play with the car is fundamental to driving, its at the very core of tyre-limit driving. Just stunning. rFactor doesn't even come close - iRacing is borderline there with the Lotus 79 car, and the excellent update they've done to the FW31, but iRacing still has the same low speed grip issues that rFactor does.

this for me is the most convincing video of AC so far, and its reassured me that this game is going to deliver - im praying to the simracing gods that they dont mess up on the multiplayer experience.
sounds, not so worried, if the game can be modded.
just the framework and architecture of the game that needs to be solid.

The physics do look incredible , not sure if people remember that Alonso and Massa on-board with them messing aground with a Ferreira.

And the video above that Mo posted the key thing is how the car steps out laterally on the power.

Its hard to tell from a video but it does appear like AC could be one of first simulators to get that aspect of car handling and balance right. If it does , then it will be a real joy to drive/play and stand out leagues ahead above other simulators currently available which all seem to have issues when you drive on or over the limit.

This. IMO the main difference is that in iR when you get the car sideways you need skills to not lose control and crash, in AC it feels you need skills to get more fun. As Eric Hudec stated yesterday in the fw31 forum this is a weakness of the TM atm, and they are working to improve it. I hope they get over this problem ASAP because the oversteer control in AC looks stunning.

What I didn't liked in the AC TP is that to get the car over the limit, you need really to abuse the car with violent steering wheel and pedals movement, otherwise it will rest glued to the track. I hope they improved this aspect!

If the physics in AC are anywhere near as realistic as we hope and believe them to be, getting a Lotus Elise sideways (and other maneuvers that puts the car on the edge of control) should be a little more difficult (or at least "different") than a 700+ horsepower supercar. Pretty much anything you read about a modern Lotus has the cliche "sticks like glue to the track".

My $.02 on iracing is this: If cars drove in real life like they do in iracing I would be afraid to drive across the street to the convenience store and my wife would have a bus pass instead of a license.

yeh it was difficult in the TP presumably because the Lotus Elise is like a go kart, I've driven an old Mark 2 Elise many years ago and that is what it felt like, to get the tail out on power you had to floor it in 1st or 2nd. It doesn't have much power relative to a lot of grip. (we're assuming here that AC is accurate and that it wasn't a coiincidence!)

found this as well. Many times he floors it out and the car is glued (and he is actively trying to get the back end out, he manages a few times - skip to 4minutes onwards).

i think the current generation of sim games have made people think that cars have less grip than they really do :)

he says.............in his post.................

Thanks for pointing out the obvious AGAIN. As i didn't noticed it before your post that I made a little mistake to not read everything from his post.

Seriously do you think I am stupid or what is your problem?

Sometimes I wish everyone is talking IRL to each other and not via internet. Then some things like this wouldn't happen.

And yes I feel insulted from your high-hat talking. You like to put the boot in. Right?

i am sorry.

Again this sentence is from RD, why should anybody copy their article? You still don't get it, the press release apparently says that. But nobody posts the press release, every sites writes an article based on the PR...

This has more to do with the car I think, if this would have been the announcement of the 5th Ferrari you can bet there would be more response... While the Exige is a brilliant car, it is not a Pagani, Ferrari or McLaren... You can also see that on their facebook, Spa and Ferrari pics get more than 500 likes, shots from the epic BMW M3 E30 DTM get like 50 or so because let's face it if you are not a motorsport fanatic you have no idea how amazing this car was or that it even exists... For most it is just an old BMW

iRacing started all the "under development" racing game, you pretty much get a new tyre model² every 3 months amongst other things. That is not bad by all means it just doesn't fit your finished game example :D. Before anyone says AC fanboy, I have an iRacing subscription too (and like it)

If there's anyone who really don't understand it it's you !
Self proclaimed experts is an excellent source for comedy !
Thanks for the comedy !
