To Tom :

the following message is a new attempt at sarcasm and definately not on offense to any people, religion, or origin.
Therefore, I beg you to kindly see this with an understanding point of you.

To everyone else :

The racist is back !

Guess I am a genuine simracer because I am becoming hard to please. It's been a couple months since AC got greenlit on Steam and we still don't have any of the information they said we would get soon. (actual release date, car lists, track lists, etc)
Screenshots are nice, vids are better but I (and probably most here) want some actual news. We assume that AC will be out sometime this year but isn't that the same thing we thought this time last year? AC announced that they licensed Mercedes-Benz but haven't said anything about what cars they are working on; are we getting MB in version 1.0 or will they be DLC? To my knowledge we still don't know what model the fifth Ferrari is.

I am very worried about the game's release in 2013. I told them several times testified to the reasons for my doubts about facebook.
What annoys me most is that they use the word "soon" all the time but we do not see it coming. And all these cars, they add, delay the release. And I feel that it is endless.
For me, trust is broken for what they say.

I feel a bit the same at times but then when I recall what AC was originally supposed to be - a limited indie project - and see where Kunos brought it in terms of content, one word comes to mind: Respect.
Anyway adding more cars into v1.0 does not prevent Stefano from working on the integration into Steam, Marco from licensing, Aris from stretching the limits of tires modeling,...

The problem lies in that you only really get one chance when it comes to release
( unless you did a gradual launch from alpha with limited users beta ) Kunos learned this lesson with NKP.

Despite the fact that NKP probably has one of the best if not the best tire model and FFB of any driving simulator on the market even now , in terms of raw car movements on the limit hardly anyone plays it.

So even though there are probably 5K + people that would be perfectly happy with 5 or so solid race cars a bunch of tracks and multi-player maybe with a few bugs that can be fixed over 6 months or so , there are many more players that would buy it play it one time and be like "I DONT GET THIS AND IT HAS BUGS" then they tell everyone the game is broken and they also don't play it themselves.

So really, so long as they don't delay the game more than another 6-8 months its probably beneficial for everyone that they put a bunch of standard single player filler in the game and a bunch of cars as this will get a whole bunch of sales and filter more people into the multi-player and the modding of the game.

Thanks to SIMBIN being committed to R3E (seemingly forgetting about GTR3) and RF2 being a bit of a mess there is a really big gap in the market that Kunos can fill.

Kunos have the chance to deliver a proper simulator with GT cars in a nice package , If AC can essentially be what people were expecting of GTR3 but with ACTD physics and fully leverage steam + mods then I think they will be onto a winner. ( in terms of it appealing to a wider market)

Unfortunately that all takes time !

Let's not forget that Kunos has more or less one chance to announce a release date. If they announce something, it must be final and this time, the deadline múst be made.

I understand their apprehension with announcing this date. In the meantime, I enjoy the summer, even in Holland it's too hot to sit behind a computer in your room now.

No sense of annoyance here, at all. It will be done when it's done, and I'll buy it when it's out, wether that will be in september, or in may 2014, I honestly don't care much.

More licenses does not mean that we have to wait longer!
They release it when the core of the game is finished and free of bugs with the cars and tracks they have done at this moment.
After the release they bring DLC´s when new tracks and cars are finished and i think even after the release they try to make new licenses.
Look at the BMW E30 and the McLaren that we get because of the release delay caused by Steam integration and other things. And we get Spa after the release what means to me that we also get Mercedes as a DLC and they would not wait for the release till this cars are finished. So hard to understand?

Sorry for my bad English.

While we are having a unuseful discussion, Kunos guys are cooking something special for us.... I hope it's not just chicken.....

No offence to anyone....don't kill me now.... let me try the full version of AC and then you can... :D
