Q: When can players expect the free 2019 update?
A: Our production team is already working on it and the release has been scheduled after Summer 2019.

Q: Does Assetto Corsa Competizione offer triple monitor support?
A: Assetto Corsa Competizione runs on triple screen setups as a single render scene, that is split over three displays. The game features a special projection correction that reduces the lateral distortion that might affect ultrawide screens and triple monitor setups. (It's called Pannini Projection in honor of the ITALIAN painter who invented it in the 18th century - because Italians do it better). This feature can be set in-game in the "view settings" option. We appreciate that some users are requesting three separate renderings in order to tune bezel values and screen angles. Currently, Unreal Engine 4 doesn't support this feature. We'll continue to investigate to see if in future the triple-separate rendering will be supported in a feasible way.

Q: Will I ever be able to mod Assetto Corsa Competizione?
A: Being developed with UE4, Assetto Corsa Competizione processes data and assets through a completely different structure and file format than the previous Assetto Corsa. Therefore, the game will not be compatible with mod contents created for Assetto Corsa.

Q: Which tracks are available in Assetto Corsa Competizione?
A: A list of all the official circuits included in the Blancpain GT Series calendar are available at this URL: https://www.blancpain-gt-series.com/calendar. This also includes also Zolder as part of the 2018 Season.

Q: How does multiplayer work in Assetto Corsa Competizione?
A: Assetto Corsa Competizione offers three types of Multiplayer action:
In the Public Multiplayer, you can join servers run by the community or official Kunos servers. They offer a vast amount of combinations regarding tracks, conditions and race events similar to the Assetto Corsa 1 universe.

To quickly find servers that suit your preferences and skills, you can either use the Quick Join functionality, or select one of the best matches in the highly personalized server list. To improve your experience, you can edit your preferences, so the suggestions may offer you more night or rain races; or add weight to latency or specific tracks.

While the Public Multiplayer will run casual and quick paced races, advanced users may want to use the Competition Servers. They are offer a competitive experience with very serious settings and hour-long races. The corresponding Competition Rating will track your progress and define the Splits in which you can compete on those servers. The requirements are high, so make sure you get an overview about the Ratings in the Main Menu/Driver/Ratings page.

The third section is the support of private leagues. They run their own race organization and series, which for example allows the use of Driver Swaps and adjusted rules. Additionally, we are looking into possibilities to allow leagues to run more than the 30 cars, and offer them the data output and Race Direction tools they need.

Q: Does Assetto Corsa Competizione have anything in place to ensure clean racing online?
A: The most important part in the comprehensive Rating system is the "Safety Rating (SA)" component. Once unlocked, it will track the virtual Trust and Incidents both in Multiplayer and AI races. Public Servers are set up with different SA requirements, offering different levels of protected racing. Additionally, the Competition Servers run very high SA requirements. To enjoy clean racing in Multiplayer, make sure to keep an eye on your Ratings in the Main Menu/Driver/Ratings page and maximize your Safety Rating.

Q: How many players does Assetto Corsa Competizione support?
A: Players can compete against other 30 opponents in single and multiplayer.

Q: What are the minimum system requirements in order to run Assetto Corsa Competizione?
A: The most updated version of minimum and recommended hardware requirements is available at the URL https://store.steampowered.com/app/805550/Assetto_Corsa_Competizione/ in the system requirements section.

Q: What are the recommended system requirements in order to run Assetto Corsa Competizione?

A: The most updated version of minimum and recommended hardware requirements is available at the URL https://store.steampowered.com/app/805550/Assetto_Corsa_Competizione/ in the system requirements section.

Q: Does Assetto Corsa Competizione take advantage of NVIDIA RTX?
A: Currently, Assetto Corsa Competizione does not support ray tracing yet. We continue to work closely with Epic Games and NVIDIA on integration of new technologies to Assetto Corsa Competizione.

Q: What resolutions and FPS will Assetto Corsa Competizione run at?
A: Resolution and number of frames depend by your hardware requirements. Assetto Corsa Competizione can match the same resolution recognized by your Operative system, and you can decide to cap the number of visible frames per second. We haven't set any limit on this.

Q: Where can I find support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Where can I submit bugs?
A: https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum
Please use the proper forum sections and in case of bug submission, zip and attach the whole "Logs" folder located in your "C:\users*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved" folder (the "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties). In case of crash report, please always zip and attach the whole "Crashes" folder located in the same directory.

Q: What rating has Assetto Corsa Competizione been given?
A: Assetto Corsa Competizione content is expected to be Assetto Corsa Competizione is accessible to all ages; for instance, the North American ESRB rating is “E” (standing for “Everyone”).

Cars without shadows is a mental trip for me,... completely ruins immersion because that defies our reality of how light works. If ACC can't do that without performance issues, then we got problems.

Shadows under cars is so fundamental, I can't find a screen shot of ANY racing/sim game EVER without it. I'll take PS1 & GT1 blackness over nothing...
i1FPPtrJV0TihhH.jpg

Real talk, I saw the lack of ambient shadows under the car right at the start, thought to myself that them cars look kinda hover-y and then proceeded to completely forget about the issue 5 seconds into the race because I was busy wrastling the car to notice anything else. :p

But hey, I'll make a bug report on the forum. I checked an older video I uploaded from 0.7 and they were indeed not missing the underbody shadows with the exact same settings back then.

A short, night, wet race vs the AI again at Spa in the 650S in Oculus VR. I've included the FPS counter, top right for those interested. Despite dipping well below 45fps a number of times the in HMD experience was drivable with only an occasional flicker - the wiper movement across the windscreen is the biggest tell as it isn't smooth when the FPS dips below 45. I can't explain it but VR seems to be better all around today and I've changed nothing - maybe the server/rating system connection issues were causing problems but that is purely a guess. This is with a decent i9/1080TI system so other than a 2080Ti card there isn't much if anything I can do to improve this performance.

Away from the technical issues as @Torcano already posted with his video at Silverstone the wet weather driving and racing experience is superb. The cars really do move around on the wet surface in a realistic way, it's challenging and fun. The AI also seems to struggle so it's all good in that respect.

For me, setting up a race vs the AI is proving the best way to enjoy ACC at this stage.

Here are my updated ratings for each aspect of the game I've tried:

9.5/10 - general driving experience, TX458 wheel FFB, car behaviour, night and especially wet weather feel so damn realistic. I've driven a lot of real world wet laps and medium rain with some standing water feels just right in terms of impact on the car and feel through the wheel. The .5 is lost for those odd spins when the front inside wheel hits a kerb, it's never happened to me in real life, it looks wrong in the replays but it is something I've learned to drive around.

9/10 - racing the AI in single player. They are great to race with, leave space but no pushovers and fight back. I agree with others that we could see more AI vs AI battling on track, there is some but yes more would be better.

5/10 - VR is only really viable in good conditions and with a lot of settings reduced. It's worse than it was in EA. VR performance in multiplayer is awful and not really playable. Pretty much a current top spec PC is required to even run VR.

4/10 - Multiplayer, it the usual pub racing - not Kunos's fault, that's 'sim' racing in multiplayer in general it seems. Way too many crashes and bugs (races not starting after rolling start etc). Rating system (which I really enjoy) seems pretty much irrelevant at this stage.

2/10 - Career oh deary me. 1997 wants it's career mode back, TOCA games were better than this. Too many crashes (latest after the Misano tyre test has ended), inexplicable design choice not to allow saving between sessions. It isn't a career it's a bunch of hotlap challenges and races stitched together. If the F1 games from 2016 onward hadn't been invented or the GT medal challenge system and track trainer etc never existed maybe they'd get away with this. Just seems so tacked on. So much potential here. If they are going to console (they'll need to sort out the performance issues, no current console would run this game) the career needs serious work.

All that said when it all works in a VR single player race (or those occasional moments when MP in the normal screen is free of crashers and chaos) it's just so good.

Overall then ACC remains like owning a 90's Italian Supercar when everything is working and you're driving it as intended the passion shines through in the looks, sound and perfect driver feedback. Just like owning the supercar you've got to work at the experience to get the most from it. Glance away from the driving experience and you start to notice the flaws, the panel gaps, the expensive parts (especially for VR/4K) the buttons that don't work, the confusing menus that make no real sense and how often things go wrong. Some will be prepared to work at it for those few moments and forgive all that. The rest of us would prefer some Japanese GTR type focus and German efficiency were added so that the whole experience matched the driving. Then you could fire it up and enjoy every drive, not just the 2/10 when the stars align and it all somehow works.

@MarkR Hit me up with a personal message, Mark and I'll send you my ini tweaks and personal settings. It seems I cannot message you directly since you have your profile set to private. We both have similar rigs and I somehow get much better performance than you do. I'd rather not clutter this thread with my off topic tech support, LOL. :D

By the way, I wanted to say hello to SMS team from 2017.
Look at the cockpit and steering centering in NSX, Huracan ST, R8 LMS and so on.
Yes, yes, just like that, guys and not otherwise.

So Jimmy says they pulled the VR flag off the game in Steam for now and that he thinks maybe try back in a couple months if they've got it squared away.

He did say that the cars all feel different are modeled well inside and out, the sounds are the best out there, he is still working on getting the FFB settings right. He wasn't impressed with the multiplayer action he tried while the servers were available.

I think I'm going to just sit on my copy for a while before investing any time in it since I run exclusively in VR.

All I can say at this point is that by not driving in ACC one will be missing on a most rewarding sim driving experience. Maybe the most. With all its imperfections and all sims have imperfections, this one at least is driving superbly. So if you have a decent rig and appreciate great physic and great FFB, not driving ACC is going to be your loss.
I do not have the greatest and latest rig, I5 6600 and 1080ti, but ACC runs for me in VR, offline, online, night and rain in a very satisfactory manner.
If you are not sharing my experience, please hang on, reinstall or tweak, it is working fine and you will get there and it is worth it.
There is something about the driving in ACC that just feel right, after sometime it gets really addictive, a few hours will not give you justice and you will be rewarded by getting it to run right for you.

Amazing racing experience... when it works! Most of the time it won`t! Last session got stuck in Q2 with a car I can not start, restarted session few times, no results... Session before - fatal erorr while watching replay!
One can hope for finished and polished game when it has version number 1.0... :poop:

Man as an outsider trying to gauge the feedback through multi media, steam reviews and this thread.....I have no idea what to think of it? Lol

One portion claims zero issues, great performance and the driving experience is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Than we have others claiming it's currently unplayable and about 70% finished and riddled with issues.
Bad performance
Fatal errors
Multiplayer not connecting, dropping, players floating etc.
Bad career mode
UI bugs

Watching a few popular YouTuber s and a few RL drivers haven't been overly impressed....some cars feedback and audio are sublime while others not so much and experiencing odd ffb some times numb with multiple crashes and issues.

Steam reviews has it around 50% positive reviews since launch, which was a mid 80's very positive during EA.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/805550/Assetto_Corsa_Competizione/

Did today's competition crash mid race or was it just the stream?

All I can really gather from this mess is If I spend the cash for a super computer it's a 50/50 chance I may have a good experience with some odd issues as the game still needs some work ? Lol

Don't exactly care to drop a few thousand dollars upgrading my system to play a $50 game when all my other sims run fine, hopefully Kuno's will address the performance issues shortly as that could seriously effect the overall player numbers for those without super computers.

Steam lets you try for two hours. Why don't you test it and make yourself an opinion? I know its not a long time, but you can at least see if your computer can handle it.

Just experienced my first fatal crash. Single player race on Brands Hatch. I entered the pits to switch to wet tires since it started raining and 30L of fuel should be added. However, no fuel was added and when the counter was 0 to give back control, the game crashed. Never happened to me before in the EA releases. This feels more early access to me than the real early access releases.

Kunos will sort it out, over the coming months. IMO, the original Assetto Corsa was not playable for me until 6 months after release. By then, there was enough content (official and mods), user guides, and known workarounds to resolve most issues.

History is repeating itself with ACC.

And turn off the mirrors. I was using low-quality with 70 meters distance before and gained more than 50% fps with mirrors off. Really looking nice and sharp now and at least one aspect it a non-issue: the driving experience is superb:thumbsup:

Just got some trouble with my neighbors because all the small bumps on the tracks causing my setup to shake and vibrating through the walls:D. I had to fix up my Brooks-springs again and holy cow, the 'motion' feels just real now:rolleyes:

Just entered my first multiplayer, 20 or so chaps at Zolder, 2 quali sessions, qualied 8th, bit of argy bargy laps 1 and 2 but nothing devious, settled into 12th, tires started dropping off after about 20 mins on my Honda, or that's what it felt like. Love the new color bar top left when flags are out, really catches your eye. Ended up 8th. no probs, no crash, just a fine online experience. However, it still says "Competition Servers not available in your region". Anyone else get this?
Impressions after two days: fricking awesome.
Note to self: Need to do all my medals, plenty of servers only let you on with all three medals done for the track ...

I have more than a decent rig, and sadly right now the only thing I'm missing out by not playing is permanent eye damage caused by the shimmering I have in VR :(

I'll try to fiddle a bit more with my settings, but currently it's unplayable for me.

I’ve played the game for a couple more hours now and the issues that are reported do not really concern me, because a) I don’t use VR nor multiplayer and b) I use a single screen. I do sympathize with those of you who experience these issues. Obviously, a few (maybe more) patches are on the way and I agree with those who say this feels more like version 0.8 than 1.0.

But as far as driving, sounds, tracks and overall racing is concerned, I really love this sim. The big flaw for me is career mode, which isn’t very interesting.

This is far from a perfect sim, but it’s a great foundation to build on. The « real » 1.0 version will surely be great.

8/10 at the moment.
