A new hotfix update has dropped for Assetto Corsa Competizione - addressing many of the issues found within the sim post V1 release last week.

Having come in for criticism from some corners of the community following the full 'Version 1' release of Assetto Corsa Competizione last week, Italian development team Kunos Simulazioni have deployed a substantial new update to the title in order to address some of the issues initially reported by the community.

Although very much a work-in-progress as far as further development tweaks are concerned, the new hotfix release is still a rather welcome patch to the game, and addresses several of the more pressing issues reported by the sim racing community to date.

Of the highlights from the new build, the fix for a multiplayer join crash has to be one of the most prominent notes within the change log - hopefully resolving an issue that has affected a considerable number of players to date.

Unfortunately, the troubled VR implementation within the title remains unaddressed within this latest update, and with many players who prefer using their VR headset of choice still having difficulties running the software at an acceptable performance level, one hopes Kunos will look at address this issue with a further hotfix release in the near future.

Third.. if we didn't move, there would be posts all over the internet saying we're lazy idiots for not moving to 4.22 because it's amazing, super fast, it fills VR with awesomeness and it makes coffee for you during pitstops.
You should have learnt by now that trying to satisfy the needs of people posting those things doesn't lead to anything good... It's sad really that you still try, the majority of the community has always shown understanding whenever you had to delay in order to get things right instead of rushing out things. And that majority is only the people posting on the forums, I'm pretty sure there's even a bigger "silent" majority who never bother to even read forums but would prefer to have a stable thing later than a buggy one "right now".

Anyhow, I hope that you guys can sort the issues out soon, you deserve better than these stressful times after such a great effort to push this baby out...

First.. it's Unreal Engine 4.22 and not 4.2.2 .
Second.. 4.22 was released on April 2nd, 1 day before the release of ACC 0.7.
We moved to 4.22, as soon as we could, about 2-3 weeks later after the the hotfixes for 0.7 were done.

oh, does it make coffee for endurance races only? cause I've been racing just short races and no :coffee: yet
No VR though, maybe that's the key

i have been doing some races this days, and i can only say that i like the sim. it´s easy for me lapping in same timelaps. i don´t have any problem to enter any server and race, where ever is and what whethear is.

about the graphic performance, i can´t say anything, because i have an old laptop, and i´m happy only running it. i have almost all settings in low, one thing surprise me it´s how quicly the sim start. it´s faster than iracing, and a little bit faster than ac. very very surprise.

and i think, like someone said before, the hud has to be changeable. i play with a projector and i can not see the message down screen. i had been disqualifide because of this. we are all diferents, and want diferents things.

and a question for kunos. how i can recover the first ffb. i like the first ffb you relase. after the second ea i lost that feeling, and now i can´t get that feeling. now, is more or less like ac, and want something diferent. I like ac, is my main sim, but why want the same ffb in a new sim.

please, i don´t want start a batlle. it´s my opinion. you may like it or not.

The second paragraph in that post is something no true professional should ever post publicly (in this form at least), no matter how he feels. Then again this really is par for the course I guess.

You do realise he's Italian, it's in their blood; he has a point "damned if you do, damned if you don't".

I paid an EA price, hence can live with the niggles. When it works, it's great.

Ok, Done a full reinstall and document wipe again and happy to report that 1.01 is running really good now on high settings. Still impressed with how good my lowly G25 feels in this sim. I really like the Lexus!

Hi from Holland! Am i the lucky one? Ryzen cpu (liquid cooled) RTX2070, T300 alcantara ... all looking great also performance wise.

No microstuttering no FFB issues no problems with FPS.

Have driven the "cup" Gt3 in real live on the Zolder track 6 times and everything in the game brings back that feeling... all besides getting back on track after a spin ( takes ages) and the feeling on the curbs.

The Gt3 just loves the curbs in the real world and can (if used right) gain you an easy 0.7 seconds a lap.

Nothing in life is ever completely finished but you have to give credit to the Kunos guys (and girls?) For the work they did!!!

Crashed again, this time I could not use 'Ctrl + Alt + Delete' to end the task. I had to hard boot my system. I think I'll just stick with Race Room for another year. I highly doubt I will ever buy another game under the Kunos / 505 Games brand. And the kicker is, all I did was select a 'Quick Race'. The menu screen pops up and starts panning the camera at the cars and bam! Crash! I would uninstall the game but that won't fix anything. My glass is raised to those of you who aren't experiencing any problems. Either that or we have paid Kunos employees in here BOTing and lying.

Game settings on Medium with textures set to High. My PC specs are in my signature.
I'd bet the problem is with the overclock being unstable, when you need to hard boot it is rarely a software problem.
Try running everything at default, if the problem solves go back to lower frequency or higher voltage than your actual OC.

I'm all stock buddy. No OC here. I don't even know how to do it.
Sorry, got confused from your signature saying 6700k@4,2Ghz.
But still, are you 100% sure about being stock? If you're running the RAM with it's default XMP profile and it is an high-frequency one, it's considered overclock too, you're not guaranteed 100% stability at XMP ram frequency, the stability will depend both on the CPU and the motherboard. If that's the case, try running it with it's JDEC profile, this is the non-OC profile and should be guaranteed to be always stable.
Sorry for the OT, but I think it's nearly impossible having an app requiring an hard boot without any OC.
